  1. New billing screen is not making payments any easier to sort out. Can this be reverted back to the old billing screen.

  2. I think, the new billings view is illegible and I wish, the old view will stay for ever. It was easier. I don't know, why Mews is changing something what is working well!!

  3. Add an option in settings to set the Billing screen standard to the 'Old Billing Screen' or the new 'Group Billing Screen'. That way, if the original billing screen is prefered you do not have to change the screen manually everytime.

    We have added functionality that will allow you to switch between the new and old billing screens. However, we will soon be removing the old billing screen towards the end of February 2021.

    We’ve introduced the new billing screen to give you a simplistic overview of all your bills in one place.

    Thank you for your feedback and suggestion.

    All required fields in the PMS are based on legal requirements. It is unlikely that we will allow the modification of required fields, or the addition of mandatory fields that do no meet legal standards in each region in the near future.

    Hi Mewsers,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    The reservation overview report follows the standard Mews reporting format.

    All reports follow a date selector style for date navigation. In order to keep report formats consistent is unlikely that date arrows will be added to the reservation overview report.

    What can legally be changed on a closed bill or invoice is different for each country. If you have a specific case for your country, could you please create a new feature request for your specific country and use case?

    We’d like to collect requests per country for this idea.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your feedback, It is unlikely that we will be altering the thickness of the lines between dorms.

    We are currently updating the contrast of colours within the system which will assist in making the lines more visible and stand out from the background colour.

    Please bring the old billing back and open maybe another button for the new billing. The gerenal one should be the old.

    Hey Mewsers, we do understand that this idea is really important to the Mews Hospitality Community, and whilst it’s not something on the Mews roadmap, we have an exciting update from one of the Mews integration partners!

    Mews Marketplace now offers a connection to Omniboost Allotments (https://www.mews.com/en/products/marketplace/omniboost-allotments) with which you can add the functionality of creating allotment blocks and reservations to your MEWS property.

    Simply log-in to Mews, click on Marketplace → Event Management → Omniboost Allotments, select ‘Create new account’ and subscribe!

  10. in the reservationo verzicht you see, after the adjustment of the way of showing the tourist tax, now every day a new post of the tourist tax. This is not a problem with a short stay. but if a guest stays for 3 months it becomes a very long list and not really clear anymore.

    It is unlikely that we will permit the ability to check more than one reservation in a room at one time as this action would be prone to inconsistent reporting in Mews as well as your distribution channels.

    Hi Mewsers,

    In some countries, taxes or the number of people on the reservation are automatically reported to the government. It’s illegal to edit this information after it’s been reported.

    If you’d like to edit this information for your specific country, please add a new feature request and we’ll look into the laws one by one.

  13. Who wants to pay VAT on something we didn't get paid for !!!!

    When an item is offered with the Complimentary external payment, cancel the VAT of the item.

    The optimal way to handle this is to have a complimentary product with a negative price and the same VAT and use it to balance out the original item instead of using a complimentary type of payment. The VAT will be balanced to 0 and doesn’t need to be paid and count of items will still be trackable.

  14. We are desperately in need of a report that can show us our daily production by market segment. We should be able to extract a report to excel and manipulate the data to have a clear idea of what we are picking up for what dates and via what segment. This is a crucial part of any hotel who is looking to increase their revenues and mews is one of the few PMS systems i have ever worked with that does not have this basic report.   15. It would be very handy to be able to assign a certain product to a room category.

    For example, we have a room category that is dog-friendly and we charge a one off fee. I want the guests to have the option to select the product when making a booking but also restrict them from booking it in another room category.

  16. We have two 4-persons private rooms. During the week, we have more request for 2-pers rooms. Is the following possible:

    Making a room 1a and 1b. Room 1a is e.g. the 4-pers room, 1b is the 2-pers room. If room 1a is booked, that room 1b will automatically be closed and the other way around. So the price for room 1a is based on 4-persons and the price of room 1b is based on 2-persons. The possibility to close one of the rooms yourself in advance should still apply of course to manage your rates & availability as efficient as…

    Hello Marion,

    Actually, you can already do most of this. One way is to make the 4-person room (room 1), a parent of the 2-person room (room 1a). Then, when one of them is booked the other will not be available either.

    You can also create a separate space category for room 1a, so you can manage its availability via restrictions separately from the other 2-person rooms. This way, you can even set a slightly higher price for it.

    What we would not do is have 2 otherwise unrelated spaces and have availability of one depend on the availability of the other.

  19. In case of Spain, we must introduce the data of the customer to send it every day to the police. We have an issue, the check in process is too long and many times hapend that not all customer's data is correctly introduced to the profile... Then the police report is not complete and the report can not be sent.
    Would be nice to can not save the data or finish the check in if the data is not completed.
    A good option would be to mark in red or with a * the necessary data this way when you…
