We’re delighted to share the news that now you can configure Mews to let guests pay with iDEAL!
To learn more and get started with iDEAL check out this guide – https://help.mews.com/en/articles/5179046-enable-ideal-as-an-alternative-payment-method.
Once the above is done, your guests will see iDEAL as a payment method in the booking engine, payment requests & online check-out. You can take advantage of convenient, automated payment processing with a real-time overview and central reconciliation.

Hi team,
Our guest portal is not intendent to charge guests, for now, but only to collect information in case of any damages or incidentals. It is currently impossible to collect IBAN from iDEAL payment method, and charge it at a later stage. That is the reason I will put this idea to stage unlikely, however it will be still publicly accessible and available for any upvotes in future.

An error occurred while saving the comment Maurits Bots commentedhi Jovana and team, in the NL there are loads of people who do not have a credit card, and in order for them to be able to book rooms, they need to provide a guarantee... In NL the ideal payment system is wide spread accepted and a very acceptable method to take (pre-)payments. For us it is considered a huge improvement to have the option to accept pre-payments on flexible reservations.

Hello Mewsers,
We are very happy to inform you that we provide the following reservation states:
Pending (Inquiry) – this state shows reservations as “inquired” in the system but it does remove any rooms from your inventory.
Optional – when reservations are created in the optional state they are set and tentative in the system and can be automatically released. Optional reservations will remove rooms from your inventory.
If you would like to know more about the states mentioned above, please contact our customer care team.
We would like to know more about how you envision working with “probability %” and waiting lists. If you have anymore use cases or scenarios for the waiting list, please feel free to share them with us.
