  1. Hi Mews Team,

    the online check out function is yet not available for all reservations. For example it is not possible to use the check out online for company reservations. We need this function available for all reservations.

    1. Enable online checkout for all reservations
    2. Guest need to change their billing adress during online check out. This is absolutely essential the prevent going customers to front office to change their company adress.
    3. The process must be easy and quick

  2. Like when our guests check-in online, it should be possible for our guests to change their e-mail doing check in at the Kiosk. We have a lot of guests who make their reservations through booking.com and then they don't get the chance to write their own e-mail address, because we already have the autogenerated one on their profile.

  3. Hi,

    it would be beneficial if the main booker / guest could add the personal details of the second guest during the online check in process. Yet there is no way for the guest to add the second person that might be travelling with him.

    PS: We do have guest messages who are looking for this option.

  4. Add a QR Code or so to the rooms, so the guest can use the direct chat to get in contact with the Hotel from the room and just just via the Emails.

  5. You really should be able to send SMS messages to guests. This very basic and available in PMS systems far less advanced than mews.

  6. I understand how nice it is to collect more email addresses from guests, but the workflow to add companions during the online check-in process is causing most guests to not finish it.

    We (in Austria) require a name, nationality and date of birth of every companion.

    During the process, the main booker fills out his/her details, which is working very smoothly. Then the guest is asked to add companions. The guest can add a name and an email address for the companions, who then have to perform a seperate check-in process. This often does not happen, as the guest feels…

  7. It would be great if a link / website integration could be created so guests can manage their reservations by going to the hotels' website. This would be a handy feature, especially as people cannot find their confirmation mails and such from time to time.

  8. Automatic e-mails are currently sent to all guests with an e-mail adsress. However, even OTA-guests-addresses (generated by the OTA for the communication via an extranet) are count. This leads to situations when our coded template is being sent to e.g. a booking.com-customer and basically unreadable in the extranet messaging tool. we would suggest either switch on/off-function by source or different templates by source (e.g. simplified versions/text only) for OTA guests

  9. I previously suggested this as an option to add to the Booking engine. But it would much better to add it to the Reg card !

    This is a fundamental for any PMS systems !!

  11. Enable guests to modify and cancel booking in online check-in if it's outside the cancellation period. This would simplify and automate the process for hoteliers where guests need to call/email to make any changes.

  12. Customise timing of when email templates are sent. For example, allow a 'before start' to be sent 24hrs prior or 72 prior to arrival. Also, the option to create new templates from scratch to incorporate upsells and other emails for the customer journey.

    If 'Before start' is not enabled to send, allow a Check-in reminder to be sent separately. I understand now that this can only be achieved if Before Start is enabled.

  13. When a guest uses the online check-out he/she has no company details at all, while the company name is already in the reservation. Would be good when the guest sees the company name without being able to edit it. Otherwise he thinks the company is not in the reservation and we risk that he/she changes the guest name for the company name.

  14. Add the functionality for guests to be able to use the Mews terminal to purchase any products from Mews by themselves without any intervention from our staff, at any time (from a list pre selected by us, as not all products should be purchasable by guests). Currently, the functionality is partially there but the guests can only add products to their reservations when doing the checkout, which is really annoying.

    Currently, each purchases made with the Mews Terminal require manual intervention from our staff. We want guests to be 100% autonomous in their journey. They want something but our staff…

  16. Kiosk Check-In.

    If something happens during the guest's stay and we have to get in touch with our colleague who checked the guest in, it would be much easier if we have the option to choose the name of the employee who is checking in the guest.
    At this current state, when you check someone in via kiosk, the action log will say that "Mews Operator (Mews Kiosk)" has checked the guest in and not the name of the person!

  18. To have the possibility to make fields in the online check in Mandatory, as those are based on the legal requirement for our legal environment.
    A lot of municipals in the Netherlands are obligating the hotels to keep more records of the guests. Like document number and the fellow travelers.
    Now we have to manuelly fill this in when customer is at the reception. However, we can try to shortner this process, when we can make these fields mandotory to be filled in by the online check in. Save us, and the customer lots of time.

  19. Natively shorten check-in urls sent out by mews to booking.com guest email addresses so booking.com doesnt insert linebreaks into the urls. Otherwise guest using booking.com app can not click on any url generated by mews - all urls are broken.

    Line breaks are inserted by booking.com after every 71st character in the url.

    We remove linebreaks manually and resend the urls to the guests.

  20. Guests can chat with us via the button in the booking confirmation, why is there no app or interface for guests to install on our tablets or guest phone so they can continue to chat with us during their stay?
