  1. There are many names for room setups that are not configured in Mews Events, but which are often requested by the customer.

    A few set-ups that are missing;
    Carré set-up (closed U-shape)
    Theatre setup
    Circle setup

    It is important that all existing setups should be able to be filled in in Mews Events.

  2. There are recurring issues with the availability of Mews Events in Mews. Examples include duplicated availability blocks, or availability being checked without validating the actual quantity of a room type when creating a quotation. As a result, we sometimes end up with more bookings than available rooms. On the other hand, cancellations of quotations are not processed correctly in Mews, causing certain rooms to be blocked unnecessarily and reducing our revenue.

    Both issues directly affect the guest and the hotel, and in my view they occur too frequently. We would like a structural solution for synchronizing availability between Mews and…

  3. We need to have the ability to set tasks and create tasks for events.
    Confirm dietaries
    Chase for menu choices...etc
    There are so many times we need to remind our guests to do something.... and generally chase. It would be useful to have this ability in this space. Something similar to tasks in the PMS.

  5. The banking details on the quote etc are European. There is no way to put British bank details; sort code and account number. The quote is going out to our guests with no details on how to pay a deposit. We don't use BIC or IBAN no's here. There are also numbers like SIRET? Which is not something we use, so leaving it on the quote when it is blank makes the document look unprofessional and unfinished.
    How the VAT is handled is complicated, I am sure different countries have different requirements.

  6. It would be a good idea to have some templates for function sheets. For specific function types with repeated tasks.
    This way things will be less likely t be missed for example;
    Wedding schedule
    Wedding Schedule with ceremony
    Team building Schedule
    Anniversary Dinner
    etc

  7. We are duplicating work by having to renter information that has already been entered into the quote. for example, we enter wine choices in the comments in the quote. It makes sense that these choices should carry through. The system is meant to reduce human error and entering it twice its a problem.

  8. Are there any plans to expand the analytics available in MEWS Events? It would be extremely valuable for forecasting if we could report on total revenue for signed, pending, and accepted bookings within a chosen date range based on arrival date rather than created date. At the moment, MEWS Events doesn’t provide the level of forecasting or sales‑focused reporting that sales managers need, and this functionality would make a significant difference

  9. We’ve noticed that customers are not using the “Special Request” field when building their quotes online. In practice, this section isn’t serving its intended purpose, and we believe it could be far more useful if repurposed as a general information or event‑description field.
    By inviting customers to briefly outline their event vision, goals, schedule, or any relevant context, we would gain the foundational understanding we currently have to gather through additional emails or phone calls.   10. Restricting the export of services from mews events to mews operations to 7 days prior to arrival is hurting our ability to accurately track billing and our month to month revenue. It would make more sense from our point of view if services could be exported as soon as we, the property, approve the quote. Please also fix the fact that event space services do not currently export to mews operations billing.

  11. Having a dedicated system for events should minimise the need to use many different applications in order for someone to do their job. With this in mind it does not make sense that we have to go back and forth between two applications to track a clients billing status. The billing page on mews events is frankly quite useless beyond knowing who has and has not paid a deposit. Nothing within mews events helps me in my role to understand and track who needs to pay their full balance or additional expenses. At the very least we should be able…

  12. The accept and reject buttons on the customers quote should be located below the comments section and above the terms and conditions. I've had far too many customers contacting us because they don't know how to accept. This is understandable as by the time they have scrolled down to the useful information they have no reason to scroll back up to the top of the page.

  13. When adding an event space as a service inside of a quote, the selectable dates for that service should allow for a date range, not just a single date. Multiday events can become extremely tedious to navigate for staff and clients if we have to add a new service for each day an event space is to be hired. We can then adjust the price manually to reflect how many days the space is being used for. The date range selected should also dictate how many days on the timeline the space is booked.

  14. When creating a block in the timeline via the "book a space" button. The date options should be selectable as a range, not just a single date. It is extremely time consuming to have to create a new block for each day of a multi day block.

  15. We would like to have more options with regards to creating packages.
    For example a package including stay, breakfast and tourist tax.
    Or a package with an activity, lunch and drinks. However these packages don't work at the moment. You have to select a stay, this doesn't sync with PMS and thus doesn't add value.
