  3. There are recurring issues with the availability of Mews Events in Mews. Examples include duplicated availability blocks, or availability being checked without validating the actual quantity of a room type when creating a quotation. As a result, we sometimes end up with more bookings than available rooms. On the other hand, cancellations of quotations are not processed correctly in Mews, causing certain rooms to be blocked unnecessarily and reducing our revenue.

  4. Would it be possible to use the PMS invoice in Mews Events?
    The layout from Mews Events is different from the final invoice for events in PMS. Also according to Dutch law we need to split VAT low and high on the invoice, therefore the invoice from PMS would have preference.

  5. Are there any plans to expand the analytics available in MEWS Events? It would be extremely valuable for forecasting if we could report on total revenue for signed, pending, and accepted bookings within a chosen date range based on arrival date rather than created date. At the moment, MEWS Events doesn’t provide the level of forecasting or sales‑focused reporting that sales managers need, and this functionality would make a significant difference

  6. We’ve noticed that customers are not using the “Special Request” field when building their quotes online. In practice, this section isn’t serving its intended purpose, and we believe it could be far more useful if repurposed as a general information or event‑description field.
    By inviting customers to briefly outline their event vision, goals, schedule, or any relevant context, we would gain the foundational understanding we currently have to gather through additional emails or phone calls.   11. Mews Events currently does not offer a dedicated weekly overview as a report or export for events. It would be great if this feature were added so that we could have a quick and easy overview to discuss as a team without having to print out each event individually.

    In Mews Events gibt es aktuell keine eigene Wochenübersicht als Bericht/Export für Veranstaltungen. Es wäre super, wenn diese Funktion hinzugefüht werden würde, damit wir eine schnelle und einfach Übersicht haben, die wir im Team besprechen können, ohne alle Funktions einzeln ausdrucken zu müssen.

  15. MEWS Events cannot deal with different VAT rates within the same section.
    Our most common example are different VAT rates for food (10%) vs drinks (20%) which naturally need to be mixed in both coffee breaks as well as F&B packages.

    There has been a way to load them during onboarding but we are now seeing this seems like a very manual rudimentary fix as issues are arising when pushing revenue, wanting to resync things.

  17. Contracts and ProFormas are sent automatically to the clients. When you look at it you'll see that often there is a headline on one page and the content on the next. It looks very rudimentary and unprofessional. There is loads of room for improvement there but a few page breaks would already help massively.

  18. In the quote, the course is added to a service. For example, a slice of cake is either breakfast/lunch or dinner. While it's actually more in-between.
    We would like to be able to either not have the course added to the service. Or be able to change the name of the service manually to remove the course.

  19. The banking details on the quote etc are European. There is no way to put British bank details; sort code and account number. The quote is going out to our guests with no details on how to pay a deposit. We don't use BIC or IBAN no's here. There are also numbers like SIRET? Which is not something we use, so leaving it on the quote when it is blank makes the document look unprofessional and unfinished.
    How the VAT is handled is complicated, I am sure different countries have different requirements.

  20. It would be a good idea to have some templates for function sheets. For specific function types with repeated tasks.
    This way things will be less likely t be missed for example;
    Wedding schedule
    Wedding Schedule with ceremony
    Team building Schedule
    Anniversary Dinner
    etc
