Do not disturb
The housekeeping should be able to also mark a room as do not disturb. In stead of only: clean, inspected etc.
This way the reception can clearly see if there are any rooms with only new towls. etc.

Customer notes in Commander App
As housekeeping complete their daily tasks, they often add special items to prepare for arriving guests. For this reason, it's very important that housekeeping staff is up to date on any notes or special instructions that come along with each assignment. Adding customer notes within the Commander application could provide much needed insight, so your staff will always be informed of important facts and ready to welcome your guests properly.

We are very happy to announce that you are now able to view reservation notes in the Mews mobile app.
In order to view notes, select a reservation in the Mews web application > and add a note from the properties tab. Once the note has been saved, you will be able to view the note in the space details section of the Mews mobile app.

Update notes in the Mews housekeeping app without changing the status of a room
Possibility to add notes without changing the room status is missing and necessary.
P.a. if DND (do not disturb) or white card (when guest changes cleaning against free drink at bar) housekeeping needs to add the note to the status "dirty".
At the moment you can only add notes when the status is changed.

Commander Application - Push alert to app once a room is checked-out for houskeeping
A push alert is provided on any room that are due, ‘To be Cleaned’ when the guest has checked out of that room so that housekeeping can take action right away.

Add room number to the task list
It would be very nice to see the room number of the guest in the tasks list in the Mews Commander and the mews commander app.
If the housekeeping is using only the app, they can't see the reservation and therefore the room number.81 votesHello from the Mews product team,
We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!
You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.
Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

late check out for housekeeping
Hello. When we have a late check out booking could the color of the reservation change? so whoever is using the system can see that there are people checing out later.

Ability to flag that a guest has arrived when room is not ready yet
If a guest arrives but their room is not ready, could we possibly have a flag or change of colour to show that they're waiting for their room. This way when the room is ready we can let the guest know asap.

Legionella prevention function in Mews does not work well
Mews has a legionella prevention function. It automatically puts vacant rooms into dirty status after 7 days of being vacant. However, our Housekeeping and Maintenance system have a likewise function, which is way more operatable. Because I can adjust settings: I can choose the amount of days, type of notifications and to whom, etc. And, it belongs to those departments that do the legionella prevention. Mews just puts the rooms on dirty status and I have to go all the way into the history log of each individual dirty room to find out why it was put dirty; there's no…

Automatic and manually services to be applied on bookings and reported
Option to choose automatic housekeeping services to be applied on all bookings that has a stay for more than x days, such as towel change every x days and bedlinen every x days during a stay. Also the option to manipulate, add or move these services to other days. A report on all these services should be possible to access so that the housekeeping team can organize and plan the work volume for the upcoming xx days.

Mobile push notifications for new tasks
When a task is assigned to a user or department, no notification is received on the mobile app.
The user must visit the Task section in the mobile app to see if any tasks have been assigned to them.
Push notification to the user to alert them of the new task would help the user be aware of the new task.
A little Red bubble showing new tasks over the task menu would also help.

Housekeeping assignment - Unassign an employee
Dear colleagues,
At this moment we can assign employees to the room but we can not cancel, it is only possible to override.
It generous few problems:
- in the next day room is still assigned to the same employee, a filter of the unassigned room is useless
- everyday assignments must be made very carefully, checking when the room has been assigned, yesterday or today
- it is not possible to make a report of an assigned room from the past, the system shows the only current assignedPlease take into consideration the following changes:

Attach photos to tasks
It would be helpful if the task section had the option to add pictures when creating a task. This is essential for both cleaners and maintenance team where having a picture that shows the issue is vital.

Bed Configuration Status
Currently we have several rooms with King beds that can be split into a Twin configuration. When the Housekeeping team "Clean" the room , it would be great to have an additional status option which they can choose to identify the current bed configuration - i.e. has the room been cleaned and reset to a "King" configuration or a "Twin" configuration. This would help greatly for Reservations staff when allocating rooms, as well as give clear guidance to Front Desk staff for walk-ins.

Privilege: Commander Application only
The Mews housekeeping application allows easy communication regarding the spaces being cleaned. However, unfortunately, if the application is being used by the housekeeping staff, those members also have access to the web interface, which includes reports and other sensitive information. Restricting this access could help protect your data and also give only information that is needed for each position.

Arrival/Departure report without confidential guests data/rates
We would love a report that we can pull for housekeeping to estimate staffing levels - only with upcoming arrival and departure dates, without guests email addresses, phone numbers and rates. A possibility to strip out that information automatically would be great to send it to an outsourced housekeeping team.
