Change base rate after having created a rate
Once you have created a rate, you should be able to amend it and link it to a base rate. If you have already mapped it on your channel manager, you do not wish to delete it and restart, you just want to now link it to a base rate or change the base rate link

This is a huge setback. We can't afford the time wasted on having to create new rates, new codes, new mapping, new testing, etc. Having a way to change the derived rate easily is a needed function.

hello Mews, this is getting a really critical issue for us now as we can't afford the time wasted on having to create new rates, new codes, new mapping, new testing, etc. as some of our rates are corporate ones being booked via the GDS. This means these rates have PCC settings and we cannot expect the companies to run a test again. The switch-over needs to be smooth.

It takes an unbelievable amount of time to make all the settings again, including translations, allocations, etc.
It has to be done faster! -

at the moment you are not able to change the base rate once a rate is created. this is really annoying as you may want to reclassify the rate and it could be linked to your channel manager.
now, you need to make a brand new rate and amend all your settings everywhere. if you were able to change the base rate, it would be a 2 second job, now it is more like 20 minutes or longer
