Extend inactivity timeout period during Kiosk check-in.
Many guests need a little more than a minute + 30 seconds 'are you still there' - countdown' to understand the Kiosk check-in and provide all necessary data, maybe chat with staff during the process. An extended time would lead to less Kiosk check-ins having to be re-done unnecessarily.

digital offer renew stay
I want to extend the digitalization of my hotel. As part of this, I'd like to be able to offer a comprehensive digital package to my guests. Offer guests the option to stay an extra night, subject to availability.
Send an email offering a negotiated rate.
Give guests the option to do this on a kiosk or through the booking engine.Sincerely,

Staff kiosk check out mode with overall tip option
When showing an unbalanced invoice with all charges /items through that staff mode feature, it would be highly advantageous if guests had the option to add a tip—say 10%, 15%, or 20%—directly to the invoice. Once selected, the tip would be automatically added to the total bill.

Mews Kiosk: Remove Ambiguity in Flow to Find Multiple Reservations under Same Name
Is there a way to clearly indicate to the guest that they "have another Reservation waiting!", especially after they confirmed "Last Name + First Name + Confirmation Number". Perhaps "You have already checked in Stay #200, do you want to check in Stay #201?"
We need to remove some hesitation in the flow for the guest when attempting to check in multiple reservations under the same name.

Ambiguous header "included" in Kiosk Check-in reservation overview for the guest
For an existing reservation, the kiosk will display at check-in the guest name, "your booking", check out" and then a section with the header "Included.
Now for an Expedia Collect booking, underneath the header "Included", we find 2x City Tax. However, the city tax is not included in the Expedia price and the guest has to pay the city tax extra. This creates an ambiguous situation where the guest may think that the city tax is already included in the price.1 vote -
Bookable services that are offered via "Service promotions" on the Online check-in flow should also be available on the Kiosk check-in flow!
We're currently able to sell additional bookable services to guests if they elect to use the online check-in module (using the "Service promotions" feature), however we can't offer these same services to guests if they elect to use the Kiosk check-in module. This makes no sense. We would suggest adding a "During Kiosk check-in” check-box option in Service promotions > Promotion settings > Offer to customer* to supplement the current “In booking engine” and “During online check-in” options that are already offered.

Upgrade guests
If I upgrade guest free of charge in advance, the guests are able to see it in the kiosk. We would like to keep that as a suprise upon their arrival. Furthermore, it does not show them as a upgrade. If we gave them a free upgrade they are not able to see their original booking in the kiosk. (Original Room Catergory) which may confuse them.

Review guest details in kiosk for recurring guests.
When a recurring guest arrives for check-in and finds his booking in the kiosk, he only has to authorize in the last step as his details are already known in our system. These details are not shown to the customer though. His Id or address might not be correct anymore so he is not sure which data he is authorising.

Upgrades in Mews Kiosk
We are experiencing difficulties in implementing the upgrade function in the Mews Kiosk because the pricing becomes incorrect. For example, a guest books a Standard Room for 100 EUR when the room pricing is low. Upon arrival, the daily rate has increased to 160 EUR. The price difference to the next room category is 20 EUR. If the guest had gone to the reception, they would have been offered an upgrade for the difference of 20 EUR. However, in the Mews Kiosk, the guest is offered an upgrade for the difference between the confirmed price at the time of booking…

Customize Mews Kiosk tone of voice
Yet it is not possible to customize Mews Kiosk App in the tone of voice that matches our brand. Meaning how we speak to the customers cant be set in Mews Kiosk. This is absolutely mandatory to match the brand standards

Signature for accompanying persons Optional
Signature for accompanying persons Optional
Since the update in July 2024, MEWS Kiosk asks for the signature of all travelling persons. As the data is usually filled in by the main booker and is not required by law, I agree that the signature for accompanying persons can be set to fixed, optional or not required as required.
In addition, it makes little sense to ask for this data for small children etc..

Apply Customer Classification Icon to the Employer view in Mews Kiosk
It would be helpful to have the Classification icon (most important the returner Icon) displayed in the reservation overview for the Kiosk check in the employer View.

Show that room is still occupied in check-in screen
the employees at the front office who process early check-ins and therefore check the room status often start the check-in process because the room status is inspected, yet only because the room is not yet checked out. Only at check-out room status moves to dirty.
Unfortunately, the pop-up on the tablet (Kiosk in staff mode) that the room is not ready for occupancy only comes after the guest has entered their data and signed.
Would be great if there would be a sign if the room is still occupied, in the check-in screen or if the room moves to dirty…

Allow hotels to decide if e-mails should be default at the kiosk
Let the hotels decide if the guest's e-mail should be optional instead of default at the kiosk.
Since it's not a legal requirement in DK it's critical for us that we cannot change it in the "Check-in form"

Skip card at Kiosk check in
Add cash option or temporary skip option to check-in with the kiosk.
We are trying to work Paperless, and the kiosk gives us this option. However, when someone pays cash we have to stop the entire check in process because we cannot proceed without card payment for the check-in.8 votesHello from the Mews product team. Kiosk Check-In with employee assignment
Kiosk Check-In.
If something happens during the guest's stay and we have to get in touch with our colleague who checked the guest in, it would be much easier if we have the option to choose the name of the employee who is checking in the guest.
At this current state, when you check someone in via kiosk, the action log will say that "Mews Operator (Mews Kiosk)" has checked the guest in and not the name of the person!
A suggestion for the matter would be to have the option to have a box on the dashboard listing the…8 votesHello from the Mews product team. Allow all guests to make 100% autonomous purchases on the mews kiosk at any time
Add the functionality for guests to be able to use the Mews terminal to purchase any products from Mews by themselves without any intervention from our staff, at any time (from a list pre selected by us, as not all products should be purchasable by guests). Currently, the functionality is partially there but the guests can only add products to their reservations when doing the checkout, which is really annoying.
Currently, each purchases made with the Mews Kiosk require manual intervention from our staff. We want guests to be 100% autonomous in their journey. They want something but our staff…
