Automatically block favorite room to a guest
Our regular guests want the same room every reservation, right now we need to assign and block this space to them manually. My idea is to have select box to select the favorite room number of a guests in their 'profile' internals. By this MEWS can automatically block the favorite room of the guest when the reservation is made.

We are very happy to inform you that your request to automatically assign guests to their favourite room is ready and available for your use.
Head over to a customers profile and, select the “internals” tab then click on “Preferred space features” to mark the preferences for your loyal guests.
Tip: Make sure that you have space features setup to ensure that the guests are automatically assigned to the correct room.

Hi,
We have a lot of regular guest who always stay in the same room (roomnumber). Now we have to assign and block this room manually. It would be grate if Mews would do that automatically if the guest makes a new reservation. -

Hi at Mews. I think that most hoteliers have quite a number of repeater/returning guests who want a specific room, not just a feature in or about the room.
So the initial post of J M was to be able to assign directly a specific room number to a guest and have MEWS tell us if that is not possible because of any reason the room is already allocated to someone else. Some other PMS keep the message on display and tell hotel when a requested room becomes available again for someone waiting for it.

Hi there, this function could be very useful! However it's still not very practical. The options we can choose are very limited... Some guests want rooms at the back of the hotel for example. So how about "quiet room" or "mountain view" that's also not available. Better yet what if we could change this designations in our system to adapt them to our property?
Even if this system is improved, ideally we should still be able to choose a specific room number(s) for the guest instead of just features.

There is a big difference between a Space Feature and the direct Space. I think this request was to allow direct Space allocaiton.
I could break your Space Feature by creating 1 Feature per space and then allowing this to be assigned to the customer, but its manual faff to get to that, especially if we change our spaces
