  2. Good evening Mews team

    I request your support to enable the option to export the users created in operational mews, because when you want to perform an audit you have to be copying the data manually 1 to 1 and that makes it tedious.

    The data that the users have is required to be exported in a complete way to be able to have it at hand when required.

    NOTE: I have already performed and reviewed the steps having the admin of mews university and it does not give me this option, therefore I request the enabling.

  3. We would like to block the option of adding a Token to a Custom Link - we use the custom Links for passer by's, and would like to block the option of adding a token to this "paymaster" to avoid it to be changed at a later stage.

  4. Mews is implementing many extra ways to secure the user account.
    However, if it happens that a hackers gains access to the Mews system, you are pretty much done.

    All users have access to the Reservations Report, and if the Permission 'View Customer Data' is given to the user (which it will be in 99.9% of the cases) the hacker can easily export the Reservations Report including ALL of the guests private information.

    If access to the Reservations Report is either available as an individual permission, or added to the permission 'Access to sensitive reports' a hotel can protect themselves…

  5. Access to reservations, but read only. This is useful for smaller properties where for example the security guard needs to check passports/ID to make sure the correct person is in front of them.

    But then don't give them the access to make any changes to them.

  6. In the user management section, it would be nice to simply deactivate or reactivate user profiles. Sometimes users work for seasons and leave the company for a few months between seasons. Currently, if you want to stop the access to Mews, you have either to remove the rights of the user or you have to delete the profile and recreate a new profile when the user comes back. When you try to remove the rights, if will not work if the user has created export schedules. The only person who can remove the export schedules is the user himself. It…

  7. Please split the different available reports in the Permissions tab when assinging roles to employees.
    This way we can make several reports, like a reservations report, available for a number of employees who need this while they do not need permission to the Accounting report or Accounting ledger f.e.

  8. Modify user permission (Charge Cards online) - It would be good to have our Reception team be able to take payments but not process refunds. This should be done by Management only.

  10. IT and Property Admins are requesting a more robust platform for their permissions where they can manage login audits (for example) for the properties they are running so they can react more urgently and proactively when necessary without needing to involve the Support team as the first plan of action(especially in time-sensitive cases).

  11. Turn off the "New device sign in" emails.
    They do not work and causes about 20-30 tickets to our support each day.
    Some users get these emails several times a day.
    It's a nuisance.

  13. Restrict some users from being able to delete products within the reservation or billing. Either an approval code from a manager could be entered to allow them to delete it, or the manager themselves who has the permission deletes the product themselves

  14. It would be nice to be able to put a limit on how far back users can make reports. For example; with the current payment report a low level user can see all payments and revenue years back. This doesn't make sense to me at all.

  15. An employee can only see one bookable service, but not the other. This is useful when there is a management company with lots of different clients/bookable services and everyone has only access to their own bookable service.

  16. Allow the full user edit screen for admins when editing another user like when your editing your own profile / account.

    We add the users to mews and would include 2FA and profile picture so new users have a fully set up account. Right now these options are not available for admins (we have a specific hardware for 2FA and dont want employees to use their private mobile phones for 2FA for security reasons).

    Also it would be great to have an option to specify what users can change by itself similar to the enforce 2FA. Good behaviour would be…

  18. Our organisation has a lot of problems with incorrectly merged customers, which can become a sensitive GDPR issue.
    We would like the function to be locked behind a certain permission that can be assigned to users.
    That way the permission can be assigned to managers only.

  19. the news device authentication feature email informing a user of a new login is a nice addon, however a copy to the property admin even better; as the property admin can easily filter any particulars as to whom and when, as well as the location.

    as the location is usally (close) to the actual physical address of a hotel, there are numerous questions when it is not 100%, and the champion can then tacle this issue first hand

  20. I have been attempting to limit the access front of office employees have to financial data or payment information which is both sensitive to the business and confidential. MEWS have informed me there is no way in preventing any employee who has access to changing housekeeping status to also view the financials of the business.

    Please could I have some help or if anyone else is finding this as an issue. While creating different roles and users I tested this ability to view all financial information. Therefore, any user with housekeeping privilages can view any information within ‘Finance’ on the…
