We have only 6 units and our cleaning schedule is based on a minimum of two to clean (outsourced) - so we do not have cleaning on a daily basis. To avoid booking rooms that are not yet cleaned (or blocked for holidays when we are closed) we used the house blocked space. Unfortunately, that blocked space will cause the cleaning status to default to dirty automatically - even if you change the status back to clean - it will bump it back to dirty until after the last blocked space date - check out time. Should be able to manually change the status to clean and have it stay that way. Just because it's blocked doesn't mean it's dirty. We manually create our cleaning schedule and this makes it difficult as we depend on the status to be correct based on what we have booked & occupied vs just blocked for various reasons.
The auto space status change means I can't depend on the status for scheduling cleaning and have to waste time going back over my cleaning schedule unit by unit to see what is clean and what is not.
We are NOT all big hotels

Unacceptable.
