Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. In the process of making a new reservation, to see the available rooms by type and by date, there should be able to choose the period (from - till) date and to see with numbers are available:
    Example:
    possibilaty to choose calendar from: calendar to:

  2. Now the ageing periods are based on age relative to expiry date. But in fact you ageing period should be relative to invoice date, especially if you would consider adding an ageing factor. In the best scenario this could be an extra filter for that page: Ageing based on expiry date or on invoice date.

  3. The Reservation report does not trigger the amount per night for canceled reservations it just shows the total amount.
    When exporting to Excel the report provides the amount per night under the "night" tab, however, it does not show this information when the reservations are canceled.

  4. It would be great if you could receive a notification when only a certain number of rooms (or room category) are available. This would prevent overbooking.

  5. Add row formatting in PDFs generated by MEWS. Shading of the rows would be nice or/and make the lines between the rows visible in the printed version.

  10. Please add following interval for scheduled reports:
    "NEXT 5 DAYS"

    schedule starts 8/9 07h00 -> report for 9/9, 10/9, 11/9, 12/9, 13/9
    next schedule 9/9 07h00 -> report for 10/9, 11/9, 12/9, 13/9, 14/9
    etc...

    Maybe also 'next 10 days' as an extra option.

  12. In the comany profile there should be a way to "archive" or mark related contacts as "past" or "previous" contact persons. So that when one is viewing the related contacts of a company (customer profiles linked to a company profile) only the current hones are displayed, while the past contacts are still visible but cleary marked as "past contacts".

  13. We would like to track enquiry source far better than the system is able to now. We currently only have origin of booking however this currently tracks 'how' the guest booked - not 'how they heard about us'.

    As with many companies a significant amount of marketing spend it allocated to social media - there for to track conversion more closely is key.

    If a new tab for Enquiry Source/Marketing is not an option are we able to add 'Social Media' to the 'Origin' criteria?

  14. customer classifications in profile.

    For customers, we could also have a more specific option in the Internal tab, classification, than "problematic":
    Example that we miss: smoked in the room, damage, animals, triggered alarm (fire), very dirty room.

  15. We'd like to be able to have Products 'Selected by Default' on specific rate plans / channels.

    We have a Sustainability Product that we would like 'Selected by default' on our direct rate plans/channels.. In Mews & in the booking engine.

    The current 'Selected by default' feature adds the product to ALL reservations, this doesn't work as we can not add to agent reservations.

  16. It would be better if the manager report could be displayed with overall or detailed information. Not only the product group, but also the individual products. For example, not only Logis, but also the parking space and room upgrades.

  18. The Pick Up Reports should include extensions/shortening of stays (or have the option to add this through a filter)

  19. One daily report pick up that shows occupancy, adr and revenue by segment, with dates ranges at past and future. for example, the create date, from the 1st of january to 31st of december

  20. In the reservations report, I would like to be able to group by Date (not arrival or departure date)
    I would also like to be able to group by multiple factors.
    E.g. Group by both date and by rate code
