We have a lot of meetings where 2 persons stay in a split double but everybody needs a separate bill for their company. Just making 2 payments on a bill where all 2 persons are listed is not an option.
Also we do have people staying for a business meeting (company pays), and the partner comes with them (double surcharge will be paid by themselfes). Now i can´t even split the breakfast for each person on a separate bill. At the moment i would have to post it on the room separately, but therefore i have to set the occupants to 1 person (and book 1 manually) and the housekeeping is confused because 2 are coming...An error occurred while saving the comment Martin Ollmann

Splitting things is bread and butter!
Also quite nice would be sharer in a room with separate bills from the start with separate breakfast for each, but the system knows, that it´s a double room.Martin Ollmann

Yes, we desperately need some way to have a popup on check-in like "tell guest to call his wife upon arrival / handoud the copies his secretary has sent / his colleague waits at the bar / guest belongs to a function => hand out the yellow lanyard / ticket on checkin" etc.
As a business hotel this is so crucial for us.
Of course we don´t have an open cabinet behind the reception any more, where we have the post-its or letters for each room, visible when you grab the key.
We need a digital solution for that!
Mostly 2 or 3 reception clerks are working on busy times and it´s absolutely necessary that an information on checkin doesn´t get lost in rush times and is available to everyone (post it is no option any more ;).Best would indeed be a popup. If it doesn´t work like that in a browser, maybe some red blinking dominat part somewhere until confirmation, that info was read by the receptionist.
Something that comes up or at least stands out right beside the checkin button. Just in Notes is not enough => it´s a different tab and there is other info as well => gets lost.

Yes, we also started with 2 services, one for business functions and one for individuals. We wanted to better sort our rates and confirmation mails etc. The problem was the same as you described: the room blocks of 2 different services having the same rooms dont see each other, only if rooms are picked up.
With bookings this was almost perfect, but with blocks with no pickups yet, we were in grave danger of overbooking.
This would have been so nice, but we had to cancel this setup in the last second.Plus: it messed up our statistics badly

At least you can manually sort the excel sheet:
menu tab: review => unprotect sheet
menu tab: home => sort & filterand for doubles i mark the roomnumbers and klick on the very right bottom corner of those marked cells the small icon and select "mark doubles", so at least i know when dealing with a double room

We have lots of congresses and business events, where 2 colleagues are in one double room but need a separate bill with their share of 1/2 double room on it.
Very important for us. It takes so much time if you have to manually do this on 50 rooms...
If i wasn´t admin and couldn´t quickly set up a product for 1/2 night stay to add in the items tab for a bunch of rooms at once, i would be on it for ages doing it for every single room
