Canceled order notifications
When orders are placed in Mews, there are often notifications sent for confirmation. However, when orders are canceled, it is more difficult to keep track of this lost revenue. Therefore, when orders are canceled, introduction of a notification e-mail could help properties stay more informed as detail of each cancellation would be available for future statistics and analysis.

Critical feature!
Some integrations, such as Zenchef, do not support the cancellation workflow. This means that when an order is canceled in Mews, it is never reflected in the connected system.
Having an automatic cancellation notification is absolutely essential, as it allows teams to manually cancel orders on external platforms and avoid operational mistakes, staff frustration.Please prioritize this — it’s a vital operational need for many properties!

Hallo aus Deutschland, ich bin ebenfalls absolut erstaunt, wie eine derart wichtig Information - der Hinweis auf eine Stornierung - nicht als automatischer Hinweis im Stile der Buchungsbestätigung versendet wird. Meiner laienhaften Einschätzung sollte das komplikationslos zu implementieren sein. Bitte bitte!!

Hello completely critical feature. I do not understand how it is not set this way. We have reservation that completely dissapear and we have no information of this even regarding payback notification...

It is very helpful to get notifications for cancellations, or bookings just dissapear without notice. This is specially for bookings on the same day useful to have information that this booking is now out of the system.

It is very important that we now which reservation is cancelled. booking.com is out most important OTA so we have to know when we get a cancellation.

We implemented this now using the Zapier integration: A trigger for "Reservations which are canceled" which creates a task in Mews for us to follow up if needed (collect cancellation fee etc.). It would also be possible to send a notification e-mail of course.
