Mail templates - dynamically derive from common master templaze
Currently consistent and easy branding of email templates is tedious.
But, I have an idea: there are some “mews” row templates within the template editor, could we get a way to create “property” or “enterprise” level rows? That way we could insert those master rows in the templates and have a central place to edit them all across the board.
same for some common settings, like font style or some other custom css properties that could be managed and edited from on place, like a master template/setting.
the idea is to separate styling & branding from content.
Don’t get me wrong - the new template editor is nice (beefree licensed?) but there needs to be a more structured and cascading way to build emails.
I am thinking about an advanced templating like for example in django (think content blocks and “ {% extends base.html %}” ), maybe wrapped in a nice user interface.
Let me summarize:
let us create a master template that contains branding and style, cascade the other templates extending this master. The new editor is nice but it is even more tedious to maintain and create consistently looking emails than with the previous one.
