Mandatory Fields in Mews Booking Engine
Ability to add mandatory fields in Mews Booking Engine and transfer this data into the reservation information in form of notes or tasks automatically. Example, what is mandatory now is last name, email and if selected telephone number. We would like to have the ability to have specific preferences to better enhance the guest stay such as high floor, quiet location, near elevator, ADA. Also include the ability to have the guest select an estimated arrival time, example 8pm. This will improve housekeeping productivity. Additionally, have the ability to include if this is a Business, Leisure or Group stay. If this is an airport hotel, it is good to have the Airline information, Flight Number. Zip Code is used in Mews and CRM to determine future marketing campaigns and should be mandatory. Telephone number being mandatory helps with text messages services with integrate into Mews.

It is ridiculous that we have no option to set up the first name as mandatory. Technically not a big thing but for hotel operations important.

Thank you for this post, Robert! It will be even more important to capture guest zip code (if not the entire address) during the booking process in distributor as we move towards Google banning third party cookies in Chrome browser and our owned data becomes more and more integral to marketing campaigns.
