  1. When you are in the process of booking a room you should be able to make a table reservation in the same process. The table reservation should be linked to an inventory.

  2. If there was a report that is schedulable, that would show all loyalty members who are departing today, to make manual point posting easier and provide more accurate reports.

  3. When a guest check in already only he still needs to sign again when using the Kiosk Check in at the property. If the guest already signed during online check in he should not be forced to sign again at the property.

  4. Is it possible to offer a specific room type in weekends only to at least 2 adults and 2 kids, and on weekdays also to guests without kids?

  5. When a breakfast product (regardless of price) is attached to a reservation it should not be promoted again to the customer.

    Current Mews logic: “a product will not be promoted to a guest if it is attached to the booking” - suggested change “products within the same product category will not be promoted to a guest if any product within that category is attached to the booking”.

  6. It would be great to have both, company name and reserving guest name displayed on the timeline, so that you could make the guest as a reserving guest (to be shown on the bill) but still see its connection on the timeline?

    Something like

  7. As hotel it should be possible to make certain field required. We would like to have the adress and license plate. however this is not mandatory.

  8. Unfortunately, it is not possible to book an extra on a specific day on your online booking.
    This is quite problematic for us as one of our extras is the Saturday buffet, which of course we only sell on Saturdays.
    The same with Christmas menu. This is also only served on Christmas Eve 😊

    At our Place we only sell minimum 2 nights stay.

  9. For us, there is no reason for still show any categories without availability. It's only a distraction to the potential guest. Please add a function which allows to hide the non available categories.

  10. In Austria the registration law wants the adress, id ccard and signature from the main Traveller and the name and date of birth of the fellow passengers. Mews prints and want all the data of each guest. Better would be also for the digital path that the main traveller has the oppurtunity to fill in the data from his self and also int the same form off his fellow travellers

  11. The ability to make just one request via the booking engine. Not every hotel wants the guest to always be able to book directly. Sometimes you only want to see the availability of the rate and category.

    Example:
    Especially for other services or spaces such as meetings and events, you should only be able to see the information and the hotel then decides how to handle the request.
    Smaller hotels that also sell the entire house do not always want to receive direct inquiries.

  13. I limit the ability to book more than 360 in advance as we have MANY guests that book year after year. We found that people that wanted stay here were trying to book rooms out from under current guests so we limited the availability online to stop this from happening. By making this restriction we have made it so reservations can not book our current guests either. In addition we do not do same day booking on the internet.   14. For example if a guest, which stayed with us in the past, is booking through another website we have him as a new customer in our system.

    It would help us, if the system could create a notice f.e.: “Customer name already exists!” Then we can have a look if it’s the same customer, and we merge the profiles, or not.

  16. When a reservation is done with 1 Adult + 1Child than the average price of the breakfast for both products will be displayed.Breakfast adults: 20€, Breakfast child 10€ then it displays 15€. This can be very confusing for guests + staff. It is better to display the price per each product and do not show the average price

  18. We're currently experiencing an issue with our online check-in flow where the guest is uncertain about what confirmation code to enter when completing their check-in. This only applies to our OTA guests as that is a different booking confirmation number than the Mews one.

    I was wondering if there is a way to make the Mews confirmation numbers match the OTA ones so that we can correct this at the source.
