  1. I wish we had the possibility to sort the "customer profile" list by names.

    When customers book a room with us through some of the booking sites, it automatically creates a brand new profile. So we can have one guest with: multiple upcoming- and past bookings, but he has them spread over 8 different profiles. This makes it hard to find bookings, payments, bills and contact information. It is important for us to merge them, so we can collect all his information on one profile.

  2. The requested feature is that guests can register on a wait list on fully booked dates with automatic email notifications for when rooms are again available on the desired date(s).

    This would remove any need for manual labor from the hotel side to handle wait lists.

    Example:
    - Guest tries to book a room Aug 1st - Aug 2nd
    - Hotel is fully booked
    - Guest opts in to our guest list by entering their email address
    - Hotel opens up for bookings on Aug 1st

  4. 📩 Subject: Feature Request – PDF Export for MEWS Reports
    Hello,

    I would like to submit a feature request regarding the use of reports in MEWS.

    📊 Current Issue:
    At the moment, reports generated in MEWS can only be exported in Excel or CSV formats. These formats:

    are not visually appealing;

    can be difficult to use quickly for internal presentations or sharing with collaborators.

    In a professional setting, we often need to share these reports with partners, management, or other departments — and having a clean, structured, and ready-to-send PDF format would be far more suitable.

  6. Current Rate Comparison Box in the Booking Engine does not pull data from the OTA's URL leaving room for human error especially when accounting for complex promotions and rate parity from the OTA's website.

    If one is to use it properly, they must post a percentage adjustment in the "Competitor price relative adjustment" field to display the difference in prices.

    Using the OTA URL, this should be able to complete the info in the box therefore push for more direct bookings.

  7. We offer the possibility of an early Check-in which begins at 12 PM. However, when the guests try to check in earlier the kiosk will allow the payment of the early check in and allow the check in.
    It would be nice if we could configure the kiosk to offer the posibility of an early check in only after 12 PM (which is the actual begin time of an early check in).   8. Please make the new email templates better suited for group bookings. Summary merge tags are no longer available in the new email templates.

    In the new templates, if a booker books 21 x Room A, the booker confirmation shows Room A + description + rate 21 times!! Same goes for tourist tax.

  10. We'd like to adopt the 'soft opt-in' marketing model whereby bookers are automatically subscribed to our marketing database unless they specifically opt-out at the point of booking. This would require the current wording to be changed (ideally editable by us), and the checkbox to be ticked as default (or change to tick to opt-out).

  12. We are experiencing difficulties in implementing the upgrade function in the Mews Kiosk because the pricing becomes incorrect. For example, a guest books a Standard Room for 100 EUR when the room pricing is low. Upon arrival, the daily rate has increased to 160 EUR. The price difference to the next room category is 20 EUR. If the guest had gone to the reception, they would have been offered an upgrade for the difference of 20 EUR.   13. Isolating the digital signature functionality and enabling it to operate as a standalone feature would be ideal for check-ins handled by reception staff. This way, we can avoid using paper registration cards and simply use a tablet instead.

On the Mews Booking Engine, when guests choose the “Pay at Hotel” option, they are required to enter their credit card details for a pre-authorization (usually for the first night) as a guarantee. However, the interface still displays a “Proceed to Payment” button or message, which creates confusion and mistrust.

    Many guests believe they are being charged immediately, and some abandon their booking altogether. This not only leads to a poor user experience but also reduces conversion rates.

  16. In the configuration of the booking engine, you are able to select the maximum amount of adults per booking - but not the maximum amount of children.
