  1. We often have groups staying on the basis of bed & breakfast for the first night and a package deal from the second night onwards.

    We would like to be able to indicate in one reservation cq room, per night, which rate or rate group should be used. So not the PRICE, but actually select a specific rate type.

    Now we have to make two separate reservations, which is very confusing for our Housekeeping and Front Office.

  3. Displaying the rate (Best rate of the day) on the calendar would save time on two levels:
    1- When making a reservation, it would be possible to inform the customer at a glance about the availability of a room and to communicate the rate of the room.

    2- displaying the rates on the calendar would help to check the correct configuration of the rates and to make changes/adjustments if necessary.

  4. Wir haben verschiedene Raten auch mit Reiseveranstaltern vereinbart, bestimmte Produkte sollen nur dieser Rate zugeordnet werden. Dies ist im Moment anscheinend nicht möglich.

  5. I want the availability report to show not just the base room rate, but also the total price including products when a specific package is selected. Otherwise, it always displays the base rate from which the package price is derived, making the option to view all rates pointless.

  7. In the event of an early departure on which a reduced penalty has been allowed, it is currently not possible to adjust the lower penalty when the 'Apply Cancellation fee' box is selected, since that field only shows the related penalty charge.

    Can we have the option, from Mews Operations, to either apply the standard penalty charge, or, override it with a lower penalty instead? This will enable the automatic posting of the cancellation fee in a format that is compliant with the VAT exemption rule for Italian properties.

  8. The current product city tax functionality needs an urgent update to support a maximum night charge (e.g., up to 7 nights). Presently, the system applies the city tax to all reservation nights, requiring manual adjustments for exceeding nights. From a non-technical standpoint, this appears to be a configuration issue that could be easily resolved with a system enhancement. Resolving this is crucial, as manually adjusting the tax for each guest leads to significant problems: Guest Complaints: Incorrect charges directly impact guest satisfaction and generate unnecessary complaints.   10. It would be extremely helpful to be able to write comments on reservation directly from the reservation overview report instead of having to click details->administer->properties and THEN be able to write a comment. After all of that, you cannot even just click back, because then you will come to the home screen and not the reservation overview report again. It would save us alot of time, especially us who write comments on almost every single reservation when we go through them for the day to check for extra needs, memberships etc :)

Currently if a use attempts to set an early arrival for a booking (especially Availability Block group) the early Check-In time is rejected because the block is missing the necessary adjustments. In other words, the system cannot consider early check-in due to conflict with the occupancy time established in the stay settings.

    However, this is an avenue for additional income and also for personalized service - clients often find themselves without many options when it comes to that.

    On top of the possibility to create "Early C/I products", there should also be a button that could facilitate an earlier check-in…

  13. Right now, it is only possible to see who has completed a digital registration card by navigating to a customer's profile. It would be helpful for registration card signatures to be tracked so the property can see who has and has not signed a registration card. Furthermore, some properties may require waivers. Right now the recommended way to include additional agreement terms is to add the text to the T&C document. There should be an option to add customized documents as well as the option to decide which documents should be trackable and uploaded to the customer profile.

  14. Flexible blocks. If I want to extend a reservation that is connected to a block, I have to go back and add rooms to the block before I can extend the reservation. With blocks that have been released I have to add the rooms twice (???), because the block releases them immediately after I save my changes, which is extremely time consuming and frustrating

  15. Das Anliegen ist nur eine Kleinigkeit, aber es wäre toll, wenn man irgendwo ein Anfangsdatum anlegen muss, dass das Enddatum automatisch NACH dem Anfangsdatum wäre. Wenn man Restriktionen erstellt, ist es ja auch immer so, dass wenn ich z. B. "von 1.6.25" anklicke, bei "bis" automatisch ein Datum ab dem 1.6.25 wählbar ist.

    Bei vielen anderen Punkten im System ist es nicht so, da steht dann bei "bis"-Daten immer automatisch das heutige Datum, also z. B. wenn ich einen Promocode anlege und bei "für Reservierungen ab dem..." den 1.6.25 anwählen würde, lande ich bei "Reservierungen bis" wieder beim heutigen Datum…

  16. It would be very helpful if the Mews Terminal could also be used to scan ID cards and collect guest signatures. This functionality is already common in many other markets and would allow small hotels, who cannot afford a full Mews Kiosk setup, to still benefit from a more automated and integrated check-in process.

    Ideally, there would be a new button (similar to the current webcam scan option) in the guest profile. When clicked, it would initiate a flow on the Mews Terminal:

    The receptionist takes a photo of the front and back of the ID using the terminal’s camera.

  18. When a reservation has met the conditions of a "No-show" automatically, there should be a sequence of events for Mews to automatically add (not only) the Cancellation Fee + Payment + balanced Bill Closure at the end.

  20. When you have a overbooking of a space category in the future, i.e. December, and you are creating an Availability Block on the a previous date, i.e. June, the overbooking reduces the availability of that space category in June as well. The availability calculation strategies diffusive or discrete, should have in consideration the actual dates of the booking in overbooking. To have the availability on the availability block we have to go to that future booking, and change the requested category to a higher space category and then go back to the availability block, so the real availability can be…
