  1. To keep the rate query clean it would be great if ratecode that are closed or restricted are not visible in the rate query.

  2. Right now, it is only possible to see who has completed a digital registration card by navigating to a customer's profile. It would be helpful for registration card signatures to be tracked so the property can see who has and has not signed a registration card. Furthermore, some properties may require waivers. Right now the recommended way to include additional agreement terms is to add the text to the T&C document. There should be an option to add customized documents as well as the option to decide which documents should be trackable and uploaded to the customer profile.

  3. Flexible blocks. If I want to extend a reservation that is connected to a block, I have to go back and add rooms to the block before I can extend the reservation. With blocks that have been released I have to add the rooms twice (???), because the block releases them immediately after I save my changes, which is extremely time consuming and frustrating

  4. Das Anliegen ist nur eine Kleinigkeit, aber es wäre toll, wenn man irgendwo ein Anfangsdatum anlegen muss, dass das Enddatum automatisch NACH dem Anfangsdatum wäre. Wenn man Restriktionen erstellt, ist es ja auch immer so, dass wenn ich z. B. "von 1.6.25" anklicke, bei "bis" automatisch ein Datum ab dem 1.6.25 wählbar ist.

    Bei vielen anderen Punkten im System ist es nicht so, da steht dann bei "bis"-Daten immer automatisch das heutige Datum, also z. B. wenn ich einen Promocode anlege und bei "für Reservierungen ab dem..." den 1.6.25 anwählen würde, lande ich bei "Reservierungen bis" wieder beim heutigen Datum…

  5. It would be very helpful if the Mews Terminal could also be used to scan ID cards and collect guest signatures. This functionality is already common in many other markets and would allow small hotels, who cannot afford a full Mews Kiosk setup, to still benefit from a more automated and integrated check-in process.

    Ideally, there would be a new button (similar to the current webcam scan option) in the guest profile. When clicked, it would initiate a flow on the Mews Terminal:

    The receptionist takes a photo of the front and back of the ID using the terminal’s camera.

  7. It would be extremely helpful to be able to write comments on reservation directly from the reservation overview report instead of having to click details->administer->properties and THEN be able to write a comment. After all of that, you cannot even just click back, because then you will come to the home screen and not the reservation overview report again. It would save us alot of time, especially us who write comments on almost every single reservation when we go through them for the day to check for extra needs, memberships etc :)

  8. When a reservation has met the conditions of a "No-show" automatically, there should be a sequence of events for Mews to automatically add (not only) the Cancellation Fee + Payment + balanced Bill Closure at the end.

  9. Show Rates connected to Segment. We have certain rates with certain segments. When creating a booking and so choosing a segment it should only show rates with that segment.

  10. If possible a dog icon would be very nice.
    So we could see in the timeline which guests/rooms have dogs. This would be helpful in case we have to mova a room (to another dog friendly room) . Also our staff from housekeeping could directly see which rooms have dogs. :)

When you have a overbooking of a space category in the future, i.e. December, and you are creating an Availability Block on the a previous date, i.e. June, the overbooking reduces the availability of that space category in June as well. The availability calculation strategies diffusive or discrete, should have in consideration the actual dates of the booking in overbooking. To have the availability on the availability block we have to go to that future booking, and change the requested category to a higher space category and then go back to the availability block, so the real availability can be…

  12. When a reservation is modified (eg because the check out date is extended), the room can be locked. However when you are extending this reservation, it is quite possible that you already have a locked reservation blocking the room you are about to extend.

    MEWS does not warn you when you are extending the reservation if and when this is the case, hence your perhaps VIP on arrival is moved without anybody being informed.

  13. Bei der Booking Engine sollte für bestimmte Tarifgruppen die Möglichkeit bestehen, dass sie eine Buchung abschliessen können, ohne Angabe einer Kreditkarte. Gerade grössere Firmen mit Vertrag steigen mittlerweile auf Onlinebuchungen um, diese Kunden haben ein Bedürfnis, Reservationen schnell abwickeln zu können. Wenn vertraglich festgelegt ist, dass die Firma den Aufenthalt bezahlt, sollte es möglich sein, die Buchung ohne eine Garantie erstellen zu können.

  14. Es ist wichtig, die buchbaren Zusatzprodukte in den Buchungsstrecken individuell anlegen zu können. Wir haben verschiedene Pakete und bieten nicht überall dieselben Zusatzprodukte an oder sie sind in einigen Paketen schon inkludiert. Da diese Auswahl aktuell nicht möglich ist, kommt es immer wieder zu Missverständnissen und Gäste buchen Produkte dazu, die bereits enthalten sind oder für bestimmte Pakete nicht zur Verfügung stehen.

  15. In Mews, it is possible to create a parent room, so one room could be sold as two separate rooms or together (room A + B = parent room). Ideally, we would like to also have the option so that when the customer books room A, room B is automatically removed from sales. This will prevent other people booking the other room.

    Whenever we there is an event in the area (like London Pride) or we have some building work done, we send guests emails to warn them about this. We then use one of mews classifications to mark the guests that received the emails, so we know at a glance on timeline who knows and who doesn’t!

  17. Maintenace - all columns in TASKS are Sortable = Dropdown menu
    Could you enable column sorting (e.g., by "Name,")? This would help us organize tasks, such as sorting hotel rooms in ascending or descending order.
    Would appreciate your feedback on possible solutions. Our previous sytem had this and we m,iss this feature a lot.

  18. As we also write important information for the check out in the comments, it would be useful if these were also always automatically displayed in the check out report. Currently you have to select them in the filter/options. With every action, however, the selection is always canceled and must be selected again.

It is not currently possible in Mews to configure the system so that guest profiles automatically reflect any outstanding balance from their associated company profile—for example, by showing an alert or open amount in the guest profile whenever the company has unpaid invoices. There is no built-in, automated sync that shows company-level debts or outstanding balances at the guest profile level in the current version of Mews.
