  1. We really appreciate if there will be possibility to specify age categories to two decimal places (e.g. babies 0-2.99, childrens 3-11.99). These logic is used by lots of OTA´s and we would like to set up our WBE by the same principal to be able to offer the same prices to our guest.

  2. Currently, the cancellation tag in the MEWS booking engine is not flexible enough.

    The logic is fixed on the system side:

    Cancellation on the day of arrival = automatically 2:00 p.m. or defined check-in time.

    Cancellation X days before arrival = automatically 12:00 a.m.

    Individual cancellation times cannot be displayed. Rates such as “cancellable until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival” or “14 days before arrival until 2:00 p.m.” cannot be displayed correctly.

    A manual adjustment of the time per rate in the cancellation tag would be necessary in order to display the cancellation conditions correctly and transparently.

  5. The old layout of the 'reservation report' is much easier to read and much more user friendly. Especially the section containing notes. In order to see them clearly you have to hover over them, which is time consuming and frustrating for the user. The zoom out function is available but I feel this causes potential to miss vital pieces of information. A lot of important details are noted in this section and I feel it is imperative that we can see easily and clearly the words written in this section.   7. Guest BILL is charged to designated payment type. We would like that at the time of checkout the detailed version of the guest BILL is then automatically sent to the guests email on file. Ideal for business travelers who need detailed invoices for expense report purposes.

On occasions when a Guest with an OTA room reservation has no charges throughout their stay (yet), but incurs a charge during or after their stay in a post-departure billing scenario, I have found that following the roll-out of billing automation, the ability to open a new bill owned by the Guest is not available on the billing screen.

    Instead, a new bill can only be opened that is owned by the OTA and must be manually changed to be owned by the Guest, and association with the OTA must be removed.

  10. Currently, the system allows a "Confirmed" block to be released unless the "Do not release" toggle is manually selected. This redundancy creates a high risk of manual error, which has recently resulted in an accidental overbooking.

    Suppose when we click "Confirmed", it's confirmed and the block should automatically change to "Do not release". Otherwise, it makes the process more complicated and increases the chance of errors.

  11. Have the possibility to create a copy of an existing block reservation and just change the dates, booker, room types, price, room amount if needed. If the same company has a series of blocks we can just make a copy of the first block and change the details

  12. We offer down bedding by default and hypoallergenic upon request. I want the guest to have the option to check the hypoallergenic box when making their reservation so we know how to prepare their bedding. We can't find out upon arrival that this is needed as it takes too much time to implement. The special requests blank field isn't good enough as the guest needs a specific prompt for this request that we can automatically alert housekeeping to.

  13. The Excel rooming list can now only be uploaded once and not more. When trying another upload, it is not possible. We often have group rooming lists who change a lot and it would be easy if we can "upload" new rooming lists and override the old ones by just one click (also owner/guest function) and all other information like phone number, e-mail address, country, etc.

  14. When automatic no‑show cancellation is enabled, Mews currently cancels all no‑shows at 6:00 am on the day after arrival. This works well in most cases, but creates challenges for guests who have communicated a late arrival.

    Request:
    Add a simple “Late Arrival” flag on a reservation that can be set by front desk agents without checking the guest in.

    If a reservation is flagged as Late Arrival:
    - It should not be automatically cancelled as a no‑show
    - The reservation remains active until the guest arrives or is manually handled by staff
    - Normal no‑show rules continue to apply to…

  15. As a small hotel, we don’t always place product orders every day. As a result, we sometimes forget to check the product checklist. We would like the ability to receive a daily email at a configurable time (ex. 7 p.m. the day before) with the product checklist included directly in the body of the email. This would eliminate the need for multiple clicks to access the checklist and reduce the risk of missing product orders.

  16. Es ist unglaublich nervig, dass ich, wenn ich eine neue Reservierung manuell anlege, nicht sofort alle Daten wie z.B. die Adresse des Gastes oder die zugewiesene Firma eingeben kann. Warum kann man das Fenster dafür nicht erweitern?

    It's incredibly annoying that when I create a new reservation manually, I can't immediately enter all the details, such as the guest's address or the assigned company. Why can't the window be expanded for this?

  17. We often have large groups of guests with on all rooms the same items booked. If we make a mistake, or something changes in the booking, we have to go room by room to cancel the wrong item. It would be great that if you select rooms with the same items on them, ( because you add the items to all the roms at the same time) you can also remove them all together.

  19. We're new to MEWS and whilst the functionality is brilliant (thank you), our front of house team really struggle with the visual appearance of the timeline. Spending lots of screen time on a screen with poor visual appearance and contrasts is not healthy and inefficient as it is difficult to see the timeline at a glance - please could you look at improving visual contrasts both colours and lines between dates/spaces for improved accessibility.

  20. Option A: Add a “Snapshot” Button

    Introduce a Print button in the Reservation Overview >> Print output mirrors the page as is.

    Similar to existing print‑enabled reports (e.g., Space Status)

    Option B: Export as PDF

    Add Export → PDF (Layout View) alongside Excel
    Preserves:

    Page UI formatting
    Column order
    Grouping
    Visual hierarchy
    Header Titles (Stayovers, Arrivals, etc...)

    📌 Either option alone would significantly improve usability; offering both is ideal but not required for initial delivery.

    ✅ Layout in print/PDF matches the on‑screen Reservation Overview as a Snapshot
