cut off OTA's if few rooms remain
When we have only very few rooms left, we end op very often with overbookings as Expedia and Booking will send reservations at the same time and leaves us with a headache, esp for last minute bookings. On top of that I do not want my last rooms to be sold to OTA's where I can shift them directly and make more profit. A restriction to OTA channels that they will not be able to sell us once we reach let's say 95% occupancy would be very helpful. Or to enable the hotel to block OTA channels individually to minimize the risk on book outs and leave let's say 1 channel open to book you on busy periods but exclude the others.
I have researched this topic in the community and I see that somewhat similar requests have been made for many years, but mews has not responded to this.
For a busy city center hotel in London this would make managing rooms so much easier end more efficient. Now we need to change room status to "out of order" if we don't want them booked, but that also cuts off direct sales on our website
is there any movement on this within mews?
