Expand room status options
At present the available Space Status are Dirty, Clean & Inspected (OOS & OOO).
From a front office and housekeeping perspective this is limiting.
Could you please consider the following please?
VACANT READY - Inspected
OCCUPIED DIRTY - Guest checked in
OCCUPIED READY - Inspected stay over
VACANT DIRTY - Guest checked out
PICKUP - Room move and for housekeeping to inspect
This would offer more clarity as to not only the status of the room but also the ‘condition’, meaning the physical status of the room (guest). This is important for the operation of a hotel.
Please consider this carefully. Many thanks.

Very important to have this status in the Housekeeping App and in Mews Commander to keep track of DND's. In some locations, the guest can only have DND for 2 days and the Innkeeper has the right to inspect on the third day for security issues. Having the ability mark a room as either DND or DNS (do not service) would be helpful. For DNS rooms, these are rooms that have signed up for a specific program such as Save the Planet, or room credit for skipped cleaning. Also, for DND, it would be good to Create a Task in Mews to check the room the following day.

Please also add "white card" as an option [when the guest decided not to take the daily cleaning and get´s a free drink for that]
thank you in advance

Currenlty all the MEWS spaces change to ditry after 7 days, due to legionalla check. this feeds through to the integrating party RoomChecking which sees all these rooms as to be cleaned. whereas they only need the leagionella check.
MEWS should introduce more granular states which are available over the connector API so RC can built logic to define that a rooms needs a legionella check vs. actual cleaning

Hi there. It is very important for our smart hotel to have 2 additional status.
DND (do not distrurb)-RED COLOR and MMR (Make my room)-GREEN COLOR.
Our automation system in the room its already integrated with MEWS and its a shame not to have this information in MEWS and also in other app might be using throw MEWS (i.e Roomchecking).
We need to get the information from the client
I think to add 2 additional Space Status is not that difficult and it will save too much time and flexibility.
Thanks

House keepers can set a status for do not disturb when they see the “do not disturb” sign on the door - this would automatically create a task for the housekeeper to visit the room later.

It should also be possible for the guest to set the do not disturb status each day and maybe we also should be able to make a promotion that the guest gets some kind of discount or drink/snack when the do not disturb is selected.

Another room status would make the overall view easier.
A "dirty legionella" status would indicate that this room does not need to be fully cleaned. Because there is a big difference between a complete departure cleaning and a "post-cleaning".
The status "in progress" would also be very helpful, as sometimes a room is almost finished and only bathrobes or the like is missing. -

in addition to this: Do not disturb (DND) is indeed a room status that we need and also SAVE THE PLANET (STP) as a room status.
So housekeeping knows what to do, and also since STP is often rewarded, front office needs to know if guests choose to join the Save the planet program -

The housekeeping should be able to also mark a room as do not disturb. In stead of only: clean, inspected etc.
This way the reception can clearly see if there are any rooms with only new towls. etc.

Add additional states to the space status report for example "Dirty - Legionella" and "Dirty - Checked-In." As well as multiple dirty reasons or customizable dirty reasons other than just "Dirty- Check-In" .
