We would like to be able to put restrictions within specific space categories so that children can not be booked into them - it seems we are not the only buisness requesting for this to be developed within the system.

We have 9 space categories at the hotel, three of which are unsuitable for children due to the set up and lack of space for them (small beds/small rooms).

I feel this is a rather basic option to have within a PMS system, also there should be restrictions in place to prevent families with children to be offered multiple rooms (which places children in rooms on their own) and should simply show the family friendly rooms as the only option avilable.
As a 65 room hotel its going to be a nightmare not having this basic restriction in place

Is there any movement on this being a feature anytime soon please?

I would like to have the option as I do with our current provider, to be able to choose which rooms can be offered with guests bringing children. So rather than offer all rooms on the DBM, only offer the specific room types that can accomodate familes.
Is this something that will be availble to us as we are currently onboarding and I feel this is going to cause many problems when we make the switch

It would be nice if restrictions could be added to spaces based on age or children.

We are facing a challenge where we do not want people under 18 (children) to stay in shared dorms. Therefore, we would like it so that when people make a search including children, they are not given the option to book beds in shared dorms, but only have the option to book private rooms.

This is so important and a function that the OTA's can already handle. Our booking engine should be better than the OTA's but currently this is not the case.

Hello from Hotel Bries, we have family suites which are suiteble for two adults and two kids (up to 16). the maximum occupancy is 2 x adults and 2 x kids. We don't want reservations with 4 adults. Thanks! Gijs team Bries
