  1. Please remove the option to charge the customer card against all items under Unassigned.
    This is causing operational problems, because is much easier to charge fully for current and future stays all together by mistake or while in a rush. The only way to prevent wrong charging is to manually move the charges to a New Bill.
    This is a technical disadvantage.

    Old billings screen was able to prevent this as products for future reservations were kept on the left hand side. There was no option to collect payment against them.

  2. I don't mind the new billing screen, once you get used to it, it is quite easy to use.
    One thing I would suggest is that in the new billing screen, we move a lot of items to Paymasters and we now can't see which item belongs to which guest

    It used to show as:
    Stay 1129 (Jane Smith, 1/12/2020-2/12/2020, Standard Room, 16) - $150

    Now shows as:
    Past, 1/12/2020-2/12/2020 - 1129 x1 - $150

    We apologies for the delayed response. However, we are happy to inform you that the functionality that you requested has been released.

    You are currently able to see the name of a the original guest who owned a bill before it was moved to a paymaster account.

    We hope this update will be helpful for your day to day tasks.

  3. A guest stays in the hotel for a longer period of time. Now he has to move to another room. It would be nice if there is a possibility to move this room. For example with drag and drop. As an alternative, the booking should be marked with a symbol so that you can recognize the guest is staying longer in the house!

    Hi Emmeran,

    It is currently possible to split a reservation during a guests stay.

    You can perform this action by opening a reservation → selecting the “properties” tab. In the section “Split reservation”, select the date and time that the guest will begin their stay in the new room.

    Once you’ve select “Ok”, you will be able to view two reservations for the guest. The current reservation will be labelled “Checked in”, and the reservation for a future date will be labelled “Future”.

    From here you can move the either reservation to a desired space.

  4. Hello, I'd like to share an idea regarding the Housekeeping.The hotel bought mobile phones for every chambermaid and the manager in order to work with the Mews app and the features it offers. However, we have noticed, that if our chambermaids do the cleaning (they change the status from DIR-->CLN) and the manager inspects it and is satisfied ( change from CLN -->INS ) marks it as inspected and it stays like that until further change.

    The issue emerges when we're talking about a room, where does the guests stay, 'cause the app says "inspected" even the other day, when…

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released a setting called "Check-in makes space dirty". With this option selected an inspected room will be marked as dirty as soon as a guest checks in. If a guest is staying overnight the space will automatically be marked as dirty at midnight.

  5. This property was asking for a way to add a discount percentage to an invoice before they close the bill in a way they will not have to calculate it themselves manually. Right now the only way to do that is to create a product but they will still need to calculate the total price after the discount.

  8. Hi, it would begerat if the product report showed all products, not only stay products, as we have many products and would like to find and filter them for statistics.

    Thank you for the feedback.

    We are very happy to inform you that it is possible to print empty registration cards.

    The feature can be set up from your registration card configuration settings. Under the “Options” menu, select “Print based on person count”. When this setting is enabled, you will be able to print an additional blank registration card for all reservations where companion details have not yet been completed.

  16. Availability Blocks no longer copy rates from the BAR, even if setup to do so. Instead these load Base Rate with weights.

    This old school way of Groups pricing is no longer viable for properties with advanced RMS where each room is being priced fully dynamically and independently.

    Please bring back that functionality to this absolutely great feature. Since the availability blocks were introduced, our Groups managers cut hours spent on having to manually process each quotation. But without this pricing in there, the tool became useless, unfortunately.

  17. We zouden het fijn vinden als er op de tijdlijn meer met fellere kleuren gewerkt zou worden. Aankomst, ingecheckt, uitgecheckt/ toekomstige boeking.. Dit maakt het onderscheid makkelijker.

    All users on Mews can view and modify tasks of all the other users. This means that Admins can do the same with their users.  Please see our user guide for instructions. 

  19. Currently the only area to add a booking reference (OTA or other) is in the notes field. This should be a field within the reservation screen that can then be used to locate a reservation.
    This is especially important where multiple reservations are received on the one booking file but are for a different party within that reservation..maybe with same surname but different dates of stay.
    It is also helpful if reconciling commission statements etc

  20. It would be great to have overview of „negative“ pick-Ups, so cancellations in the Pick Up Analytics tool. Even on the Dashboard, so you have a perfect overview of positive (bookings) and negative (cancellation) pick ups. As a reference: Pace is doing it in their pick up report
