"If a reservation needs to be canceled, this can easily be done within the reservation module, however, it is not clear which cancellation policy may apply to the reservation at the time of cancellation. For this reason, displaying cancellation policies within the reservation module could help create clarity as it will be clearly visible before and during reservation management."

  3. As group reservations often appear together on the Timeline, there is not currently an efficient solution to relocate all of them once. An additional Timeline feature could enable moving all group reservations to another block simultaneously.

  5. As revenue managers, we sometimes need to change many dates in one go. Unfortunately, mistakes can be made that can lead to reservations with the wrong rate (a really low one).
    It surprised me to realise that MEWS did not have a way to set a minimum rate to be sent to the booking channels as SiteMinder does. We should be able to set the rate we do not want to sell cheaper than that year round. For instance, if we never sell our master rate for less than 59 Euro, it would be great that Mews would not allow…

  6. Notes are a huge feature to ease booking management and get a smooth communication between shifts. We use it to clarify bills or past interactions with the guests.

    Notes shouldn't be hiding 2 clicks and a scroll down away from the anywhere into MEWS. They should be easy to access, for example, when we click on a booking in the timeline : "Booking - Group - Notes" should appear. Also Notes should have its own panel within the booking, why at the very bottom ? Thanks !

  8. It would be very helpful for the front desk to obviously see in the Travel Agency Contracts section whether a booking from Expedia/Booking.com/Agoda/etc is with hotel or ota collect payment method

  9. For chains, it can be difficult to manage multiple properties, often switching back and forth using one reservation screen. However, this could be solved with a central chain reservation overview screen, making it possible to view operation data about all your connected properties simultaneously.

  10. To add a column in multiple Reports (manly Accounting Report) with the Reservation number of the guest (Booking number). This could be used as a Primary Key to connect the different reports.

    This could help us merging reports like Accounting Report and Reservation Report that right now are used for multiple tasks and requires hours of manually work from Finance and Operations teams.

    The name of the guest can change before/after the check-in. So, name of the guest is not working good for merging reports.

  11. When guest make reservations via booking.com, expedia... most of the time we only receive a telephone number or address. The e-mail address is in 99% of the cases one generated by the OTA to mask the guests email. Therefore it would be very convenient if Mews would merge profiles based on other similarities as well. This would make it easier to identify guests who have already stayed with us previously.

  12. The system should have a tool to detect automatically similar profiles (same name and surname for example) and propose one by one to merge or not the profile. It could be a big help and time saver for us, as it could take time to detect duplicate profile.

  13. At the moment, online checked-in reservations are only visible on the day of arrival. In statistics you can find the amount of online check-ins in the past and future however, it is not possible to click through and see the specific guest/reservation the online check-in belongs to. Past of future reservations only show a grey 'manage' button.

  15. On the dashboard of a guest, we cannot see in one eyesight the previous room number, we have to click on details, or open every past bill.
    It will be usefull to have this information on the screen where all past bookings are displayed, especially if it's a returning guest with a lot of previous stays

  16. Currently we have several rooms with King beds that can be split into a Twin configuration. When the Housekeeping team "Clean" the room , it would be great to have an additional status option which they can choose to identify the current bed configuration - i.e. has the room been cleaned and reset to a "King" configuration or a "Twin" configuration. This would help greatly for Reservations staff when allocating rooms, as well as give clear guidance to Front Desk staff for walk-ins.

  17. For properties, only the reservation manager has access to the Rate Management in Mews. So when employees are changing the rate of the booking, they will not be able to know what was the original price of the rate. They will only see from the action log the original rate and not the original price. Properties are pushing not just the original rate but also the original price of the rate in the action log without the products attached.

  20. I love the new feature that the guest can contact us via chat. However, it's not very easy that the guestchat and the intern chat is on the same page. also it is not possible to delete a person in the group (for example when they left, or acidentaly add the wrong person) also a delete button for a chat would be great (intern). does the guest chat also be saved in their
