Group product report by product category
The Product Report is a great tool to identify all products that your property may offer and to help identify daily needs for your operations department. An additional filter to group products by product category could save some manual calculation as it could then show all totals within the report.

Consider the other categories overbooking before sending availability
Today, if you have an overbooking of 2 Classic rooms, but only 1 Deluxe room, the system will still send availability for 1 Deluxe room even though you are in overbooking of 1 room. It can be extremely dangerous.

Breakfast View
Make a view specially designed for the breakfast team.
They want to have a few with: guestname, roomnumber, how many persons. They want to track who came and who still need to have breakfast. So a simple checkbox in that list would do.
Also the day before a prediction for the amount of breakfast next day, that is easy to access for the breakfast team members.

Check in and create keys
Recently a check in a create keys button was added to each booking which is great it checks in and creates the keys for the customers HOWEVER! it only works after 4pm, because our official check in is at 4pm. what we would like will be the function to work at any time! and instead a pop up will appear that will say it is not 4pm yet would you like to create the key? yes, no. and it will create them either way as long as it leaves a record that they were created before or after 4.

31 votesThis was due to a bug that has since been resolved. A key can be cut at any time after the reservation is checked in. As long as the check-in is completed, there is no problem cutting a key prior to the default reservation start time set by the property.

Billing Screen 2.0
Separate future revenue

We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!
On this new screen we have separated bill items from past and future reservations. Now you can stick to seeing the relevant bills for your reservation in the selected stay period
Don’t worry, we haven’t gotten rid of it completely! We have created an additional billing screen for each guest. You can access this screen by selecting “All guest’s bills” in the new billing screen. This will show you all open past, present and future bills for the guest you have selected, with convenient tags so you always know which bills are relevant for you.
Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.
Think of this as your billing screen 2.0!

Batch Billing/Invoice Export
As it can be time consuming to sort through and view each document individually, the capability to export all bills closed within a particular interval to a single document could expedite this process for many accounting teams.

Amending a closed bill
Be able to add address or company's name if we make a mistake after closing the bill. The current SOP in place for this is not efficient and too complicated.

We have now released the ability to change the address on a closed bill or invoice, where credit note will be issued to balance out the original invoice and new bill/invoice will be issued with corrected address.

Ageing / Debtors Report for Accounting Ledger
Using the accounting ledger, accountants can view any outstanding bills or payments that must be collected. However, as these are connected to guest profiles, this does not help to identify debts for company or travel agencies, which are not as easily available in Mews. By adding an additional mode to our accounting ledger, you could easily view all outstanding invoices sorted by the company to which it was issued. Additionally, this would show how long each payment has been overdue and how much each company owes.
30 votesWe have now released the City ledger module which groups all invoices by the owner and allows to see total balances per owner. It also categorises all the unpaid balances into aging brackets.

I’m happy to announce that it is now possible to create multiple bookable services in Mews and start offering offices, meeting rooms, desks or parking spots to your guests.
There is a dedicated timeline and reporting for each new service. Services can be offered on daily or overnight basis.

Mix multiple cancelation policies within one rate
To setup 2 policies applicable to 1 rate who has different season instead of creating new rates for each season. The current system block guest from booking through 2 seasons. Example: A stay Dec 17 to Dec 25. December 17 to 20 is low season and December 21st to 25 is holiday/peak season. Low season is 1 policy and Peak/Holiday is 1 policy. Currently, I have 2 rates due to the policy issue.

See a month or longer on the timeline
like when you are scrolling up / down you condense the number of spaces displayed on the timeline, you should also be able to do that with the number of days displayed. It would be great if you would be able to see at least one full month on the timeline (ideally would be at least two months!)

Availability Blocks - rolling release
add rolling releases to availability blocks so FIT allotments can be managed, e.g. 7 days prior to arrival.

Assign employee to a floor
Would be much easier to assign floors to every housekeeper instead of spaces. They already work everyday by floor so would help them to keep the same organization that we have today. Also regarding the assignments would it be nice if they can see them on the Commander app. That will void printing reports everyday. The supervisor can assign a floor and the housekeeper can be able to see that on the app in order to know what need to be done during their shift.

Origin for Walk in
Due to the actual situation we have a high interest in walk in numbers. At the moment there is possibility to get a walk in figure. It can be only assumed reservations for the same day are walk ins, but its not clear at all. Therefore we request a walk in origin code which can be much better tracked.

zoom out timeline
We get a lot of overbookings which are not really overbookings we just need to move rooms around to do it.
Currently mews does not allow us to zoom out the timeline far enough to be able to do this. We have many bookings for more than 2 weeks so we cannot see the begginning and end of the booking on the timeline. This means it is impossible to move bookings around on the timeline to be able to fit in the 'overbookings'. this is going to be a huge issue for us if not fixed as we have this…25 votesHello, the monthly view is available in Mews and allows you to display bookings longer than 2 weeks. The moving functionality is currently not supported, but we will consider it in the next iteration.
