  1. If a payment fails when trying to settle a guest bill, it can create problems for your staff as they might have to chase that guest for a successful payment. Therefore, automating tasks for failed settlements could help streamline this process and collect payments as soon as possible.

    For example: In case of manual settlement, a task could be created to collect payment from the guest at the time of your settlement trigger. In case of a failed automatic settlement, a task could be created to collect payment from the guest at the time of your settlement trigger.

  3. For paymaster accounts we organize the receivable invoices per month or prepare a group of bill for a special wire transfer amount. Having the option of renaming a bill preview will be very useful when we transfer a receivable invoice from a customer profile to the paymaster account. We won't confuse about the right bill preview to transfer anymore.

    Hello Mewsers,

    Thank you for the feedback and upvotes. We are very happy to inform you that it is possible to filter the reservation overview arrival report by alphabetic order as requested.

    In order to make use if this feature, you can select the “Ordering” filter in the “Arrivals” tab, and select “Customer”. This will automatically order your reservations in ascending order, alphabetically.

    Now, you can see exactly how many spaces are free (the number is positive) or overbooked (it’s negative) on the space categories level with the improved Occupancy and Availability reports.

  7. This property was asking for a way to add a discount percentage to an invoice before they close the bill in a way they will not have to calculate it themselves manually. Right now the only way to do that is to create a product but they will still need to calculate the total price after the discount.

  10. Some countries are not able to properly price and account VAT for long stays, especially when the long stay is changed from the original reservation above or below the certain amount of days. At billing, Mews should properly calculate the discount based on the length of stay (e.g. discount is for every day of a stay longer than 28 days; no discount for a stay of less than 29 days), adjusting the overall price to be paid by the guest, based on any discount.

  11. Please remove the option to charge the customer card against all items under Unassigned.
    This is causing operational problems, because is much easier to charge fully for current and future stays all together by mistake or while in a rush. The only way to prevent wrong charging is to manually move the charges to a New Bill.
    This is a technical disadvantage.

    Old billings screen was able to prevent this as products for future reservations were kept on the left hand side. There was no option to collect payment against them.

    Hello Mewsers,

    We have reviewed the request to print multiple registration cards in one go for the day, this is currently possible from reservation overview report.

    You can perform this action by selecting a date you would like to print the registration cards for (it can be the current date or a date in the future), click the button “Registration cards” on the top right. This will open a new tab with all of the registration cards for the date you have selected, from here you will be able to print out the registration cards.

  17. I would like to have the choice to have the relative adjustment made on the full price, OR only on the nights.
    I don't want to give 10% off on the City Tax or on the breakfast, only on the nights.

    Thank you for the feedback.

    We are very happy to inform you that it is possible to print empty registration cards.

    The feature can be set up from your registration card configuration settings. Under the “Options” menu, select “Print based on person count”. When this setting is enabled, you will be able to print an additional blank registration card for all reservations where companion details have not yet been completed.
