rooming list integration
can we avoid manual work i.e. putting names / creating profiles when we receive rooming list for groups ?
Anyway for Mews to read and process rooming list in Excel or Word form ?

Ability to flag that a guest has arrived when room is not ready yet
If a guest arrives but their room is not ready, could we possibly have a flag or change of colour to show that they're waiting for their room. This way when the room is ready we can let the guest know asap.
77 votesGood news, we have released a new classification (profile > internals > classification) "waiting for room" so you can flag guest who are waiting for their room.

Amending a closed bill
Be able to add address or company's name if we make a mistake after closing the bill. The current SOP in place for this is not efficient and too complicated.

We have now released the ability to change the address on a closed bill or invoice, where credit note will be issued to balance out the original invoice and new bill/invoice will be issued with corrected address.

Unpaid / unbalanced bill Report
We look for a report which lists reservations, that were checked-out with unbalanced bills.
Few days ago, we checked-out a group, but forgot to issue the invoice the very same day and only realized this now. To make sure this has not happened before, we want to search for reservations, that are in the past but not paid or invoiced yet.6 votesHi, thank you for your vote for this suggestion. In fact, this is already possible to see within Mews.
Please navigate to the "Guests in house" report, which is available on the homepage dashboard, in the upper right corner under "Customers".
Ensure that under Status, "Checked out" is selected, and that under Display options, "Balance" is selected. By selected your date range you should be able to view reservations which have been checked out but still have open balances remaining.

Availability Blocks - rolling release
add rolling releases to availability blocks so FIT allotments can be managed, e.g. 7 days prior to arrival.

URGENT: Availability Blocks for Groups no longer consider individual rates per room types, but only oldschool Base rate weights
Availability Blocks no longer copy rates from the BAR, even if setup to do so. Instead these load Base Rate with weights.
This old school way of Groups pricing is no longer viable for properties with advanced RMS where each room is being priced fully dynamically and independently.
Please bring back that functionality to this absolutely great feature. Since the availability blocks were introduced, our Groups managers cut hours spent on having to manually process each quotation. But without this pricing in there, the tool became useless, unfortunately.

change customer details when adding extra rooms
When using "add another reservation" it should be possible to change guest/customer name. Instead of adding rooms for same person

Thank you for sharing your request with us. It is currently possible to add a new guest profile when adding another reservation to an existing group.
In order to do this, you can click on the add another reservation button > Mews will pre-fill the date range and open the second step of the new reservation screen > In the customer section select the "X" to remove the current profile that has been pre-filled and add the name of the new customer you would like to add. This will create a new reservation with the name of the new customer to your group.

cancellation state in Availabilty block report
Availability block report there are two statuses: optional & Confirmed. I would request that you can also have a cancelled state aswell. That way you can have a overview of all cancelled blocks, statistics regarding which blocks were picked up and easier communication within the hotel and the booker.

Option for mandatory User-Two-factor authentication
Currently a user can set a Two-factor authentication for his/her account.
I would like to see an option in the employee settings to force Two-factor authentication for specific accounts. (tick box or similar)
We would use this for all admins and user with many rights as they are sensitive.

Invoice Cancellation
If we have to cancel an invoice, there should be an option to keep the products for the new invoice and not have to re-enter all the items. It happens so often that the guest calls and the invoice needs to be made out to the company after all and you have to re-enter everything. This needs too much time!!

Allow users to get rid of a bookable service
Bookable services can be deleted only if there is no reservation under them (including cancelled reservations).
It is not possible to delete theme because access to these reservations might be needed in the future. However, it might be possible to deactivate/archive them, keeping the old data accessible in certain areas of the system.

Today, we are releasing service deletion for services with past reservations.
Bookable service can be deleted when there are no future or ongoing reservations attached to it. Also, there must be no automated exports, no service promotions and no integrations linked to the service.
The functionality is only available to users with permission to create and manage services.
Data from deleted services will disappear from almost all areas of the system, so use the functionality wisely :-) The data will only be visible in the manager report. Old reservations from a deleted service can also be accessed through the dashboard on the customer profile.

Send invoice directly to company profile
Our invoices need to be emailed directly to companies (i.e. Travel Agents or Businesses) directly. Currently you can only email to Customer Profiles, yet all the contact information for companies are stored in the Company profile. We move chargeback items to a Company Bill, so it seems illogical to then not be able to email the invoice directly to that company?
We waste so much valuable time saving the PDF down and manually sending the invoice through Gmail. There is a lot of room for human error here, where invoices don't ever get sent out.

MEWS Template to import Rooming List
EN version :
When having a big rooming list , instead of going room by room then "group" then "last name" and "first name" - we could get a MEWS template on how to fill those names so it can be directly integrated into mews with a drag an drop file.At least when there is 1 to 2 person in the room :)

terminal payment
There should be way to process the authorization that was already made on the card to be processed to a complete charge while checking in the guest using the terminal where the preauthorization is sent to the terminal and guest will make sure it is the right amount and enter there pin if it is a debit card or enter the zip code for credit card or any other way so that there can be less chance for any guest to add a charge back case something like that as it will make sure the guest used the card by…

breakfast report for next morning
would be nice if you could set the interval in the report export scheduled into "next morning", so you do not also see the reservations for the next evening.

Block Rates
Insert a day by day rate per block manually instead of selecting an existing rate that has the wrong prices. Because we don't have fix block prices and maybe there are multiple blocks for one day with another rate.
