  2. We should be able to change Guest Name for the products in the bill (or leave it without a name).
    For exampe, at the moment if a Guest wouldn't like to show his name on the company invoice we have to cancel all the postings and add them again.

  3. When adding a Stay Product in the Items Tab in a Reservation the Product is automatically posted to the Unpaid / Deposit Bill. In the case of a Company or Travel Agent Bill, we need to have the ability to add these items into the correct Bill. Currently, the user needs to move the items when added to the correct Bill. In the case of an Additional Product posting, this can be added in the Billing Screen on the correct Bill. However, when adding Stay Product, there is no choice.

  4. To add a column in multiple Reports (manly Accounting Report) with the Reservation number of the guest (Booking number). This could be used as a Primary Key to connect the different reports.

    This could help us merging reports like Accounting Report and Reservation Report that right now are used for multiple tasks and requires hours of manually work from Finance and Operations teams.

    The name of the guest can change before/after the check-in. So, name of the guest is not working good for merging reports.

  5. In order to get more accurate commission overviews we would like an option when setting up a product to define whether it's commissionable or non commissionable (so if it should calculate for the commission overview).
    Things like city tax, extra products (not via OTA) are non-commissionable but will still be counted for commission rate.
    A tickbox Comm/Non Comm will solve this and provide more accurate commission overviews to support invoicing and business intelligence.

  6. We can´t define a specific accounting category for canceled items for deposits or hardcoded city tax. The accounting category is taken from the Canceled item accounting category defined in the Bookable service. But deposits and city taxes are usually having different accounting categories than nights.

Tenemos dos edificios y cada mes, cuando debemos liquidar iva, debemos abrir una a una las facturas que nos arroja el informe de Mews, porque en el excel que nos exporta el sistema, no especifica en ninguna celda, en cual edificio el cliente se hospedo. Esto, sobre todo en temporada alta, nos retrasa muchísimo el trabajo. Por favor agreguen esta celda y ayúdenos agilizar nuestras tareas adminitrativas. Gracias!!!

  8. The billing screen does not show the dates on additional services postings, I have to click on preview all the time, and it's not clear when the guest stays long time to dispatch bills

  9. It would be great if we can consolidate hotelpackages, so on the invoice it would only say e.g. Winter-Special, and the guest cannot see how much goes to roomnight and F&B in the package, only citytaxes should be split up.
    Also roomnight shouldn't be many times a seperate line but should just say Roomnight and then the number of nights and the total rate.

  11. This is very confusing
    Ok for if a guest is staying 2 nights, charging them and never see them again.

    very difficult to read and understand. Once the Guest has been charged. the bill disappears.

    Very difficult to work out what a guest has been charged for and when. especially long term people who do work for accom.

    this needs a lot of work.

    With the GC 'POST' Section, (even though the 'amount outstanding' didn't work, you could see what the guest has paid and when and how. So much better.

  12. In the final bill, we would like to have the possibility to split the accommodation cost between the Student (paying partially the room cost) and the Public Admin (paying the rest of the accommodation, considering that they PA is not paying VAT so I need to close it with VAT exempt)

  13. If we have to cancel an invoice, there should be an option to keep the products for the new invoice and not have to re-enter all the items. It happens so often that the guest calls and the invoice needs to be made out to the company after all and you have to re-enter everything. This needs too much time!!

  14. i have set up new products with a zero rate as we need to be able to manual add the correct one each time. however, when coming to posting the product, it won't let us change the amount from zero.
    is this an error on the system?
    previously set products like this are still able to be manually have the amount changed

Guest Credit Limit report to mitigate the risk of potential for bad debt write offs in the event of a client dispute and of being unable to recover monies owing, resulting in bad debt write-offs. Allows for a a daily review and follow up with guests when balance above hotel's limit. Ensure no guest ledger folios with cash status and debit balance outstanding.

  16. Allow each property to setup and modify their own taxes rather than have Mews hard code these taxes into the system. US taxes are complicated with local, city, county, state, TBID, tourism and other taxes that change independently from each other. This aligns with channel manager setups. Additionally, have the ability to create tax periods for all taxes i.e. start date, end date so that the system can properly tax reservations that cross a tax period change. Have the liability sit with the property administrator who receives notification of future changes and should be held responsible for these changes. This…

  17. I shouldn't have to create a separate adjustments account for each type of adjustment. If a night has already closed, and then the rate needed to be adjusted by a supervisor because of an error, then their adjustment should be just a Rate Adjustment - automatically contributing to room revenue. I shouldn't have to use the billing tab to then manually calculate rate vs tax breakdown, and post a separate "unbookable service" etc.

    Also, refunds / adjustments should be able to be posted to the specific reservations even if they are closed out already. It should be possible to open…

  18. It would be really helpful if, on the billing tab, you can include the rate vs tax breakdown when we expand a billing item. It is causing our staff to be confused when posting adjustments and we are, as a result, paying close to $1000 in taxes more than what we collect for most of our properties.

  20. At the moment, Mews continues to match the actual date and time after midnight, so this is creating problems when night auditors are trying to fix various things for what is now the previous day.

    Would it be possible for Mews to remain 'stuck' on the current day at midnight, so that any further postings done throughout the early morning still post as the previous day, THEN when everything's good and ready, the Night Auditor could then 'roll the system' by completing the day just gone, and starting afresh for the new day?
