Hi team, if pre-auth is a part of the rate group configuration, we will automatically cancel authorization on Mews' and the bank's side 24h after the guest departs.
However, due to other priorities, we did not work on the automatic cancellation of all pre-auths in all flows after departure, adding this initiative back on the backlog.

Additionally,
(1) It would be best to allow certain Guest actions on the guest portal against a reservation to present itself more as requests that require approval from the hotel. This would give the hotel more autonomy and proper time to respond to see if they can approve certain changes. (Upgrades + Payments)
(2) These Guest Actions should be trackable So hotel can better manage and have historical records to keep guest accountable

A Client suggested not to go too granular as Role Creation in Mews is one of the simplest they have encountered to date - there was a system where they had to worry about 500+ permissions and that can be quite a list to go through.
