    Each of our rooms is unique so we've found that our guest often want to book based on a specific room being available rather than just starting with a date.

    So allowing this journey as an options would be very valuable to us.

    The ability to check out of individual rooms within a group / multi-room reservation would also be INVALUABLE

    (guests within a group booking do not always vacate their rooms or check-out together)

    If ANY piece of information or form field can be requested at any point it should be up to the property to determine whether or not it is marked as required.

    (legal requirements in different countries notwithstanding...)

    Mews will never be able to accurately predict why a property may or may not need that information, so the ability to require it or make it optional will always be a level of flexibility that greatly benefits Mews properties.

    The current placeholders are extremely limited. Especially being forced to use the Mews formatted booking details component. It does not match our branding or email style at all and looks extremely out of place.

    I agree with there being a need for most of the proposed placeholders in this thread.

    Please add these, especially those pertaining to basic reservation details.

    Offering this type of user journey would be critical to achieving true human centered design for the booking engine.

    Right now what's driving the user journey is what the system needs first (ie: the dates) not what the guest wants (sometimes that's a specific date, but not always). More and more guests, especially younger generations, are driven by the experience they are looking to book and are willing to be flexible on what date or even what room they want.

    By allowing a non-linear path through the booking process (ability to start with a room or start with a package/rate) you allow guests to choose their priorities and therefore increase the likelihood that they will go through with a booking.

    Availability view would make it much easier for guests to find a date with an opening for the suite they want... and more importantly give them an easy way to choose another date if their first choice is booked so they don't walk away without booking.

    We are in an area very popular with bicycle enthusiasts and are planning on offering bicycle rentals as soon as we have a method of managing them.

    Having the ability to manage them in Mews would definitely help create a good revenue generating opportunity for us.

    In addition to rooms (which we would actually prefer to call suites) we also use Mews to book "seats" for things.

    The closest thing available is "Desk" but this makes using the booking engine very confusing for our guests as they are booking a single seat for an event not a desk.

    Can you please do 1 of 2 things...

    • Add "Seat" as a space type... (it's a very generic term so would likely be useful for other customers as well as us).

    • Add, as suggested in this topic, the ability for properties to create their own custom space types

    This would be useful feature across the board on any email template (the ability to add a section in a template that can have custom messaging added in by staff when an email is sent manually).

    We often run into times when special details/instructions/information needs to be communicated to a specific guest. Having this feature would allow us to provide all that information within our standard emails and not spam guests with additional messages to convey information that may not fit into a standard communication template.

    This is absolutely critical to our business for a number of reasons.

    1. We operate entirely contactless using an SMS based guest communication platform combined with mobile keys.

    Not having accurate and unique contact information for a minimum of 1 occupant for every room booked creates the need to manually contact any guest that books more than one room through the booking engine, which then needs to be updated with our guest communication platform.

    2. For safety, security and liability reasons we need to have a record of at least one of the occupants staying in each of our suites.

    Since we signed on with Mews due to the high degree of automation we could achieve this is a major hurdle to both our internal workflows and a smooth guest experience.

    **If the concern is that for some properties this this complicates the booking process unnecessarily leading to drop-offs, then the requirement for individual contact information can be set as optional on the back-end. That way any property that does not need this info can toggle it off but to those who need the info, it can be required.
