1. Move Positions with 0 value

   Atm it's not possible to move any position with a value of 0 to an open bill. Since we customize our bills in another way as Mews usually does, we need to move all reservation items to an open bill. This way we can pay all reservation items, close the bill, checkout the reservation and receive a pdf in the end.

   Some of our hotels place 0 value positions on their reservations as reminders. Atm it's not possible to checkout those reservations, since not all reservation items get on the same bill and therefore we cannot "pay" all reservation items.

   So there are two different solutions:
   1.) Make it possible to move those 0 value positions to an open bill
   2.) Make it possible to checkout reservations with an open amount of 0.

5. Integration of Xorcom PBX with MEWS

   Xorcom is an IP PBX manufacturer and we would like to integrate our PBX with MEWS PMS. I didn't find any mention of the wake-up call management in your API documentation.    It would be great to have a API call that allows, changing of status of a tasks or at least to close a task.
   when using tasks for automations having a status that could be change in the API would make the process much more reliable.

9. Diffusive overbooking strategy also pushed to channel manager

   Currently in MEWS you can set a diffusive overbooking strategy, meaning when overbooking in lower room type availability is taken out of higher room types. This to avoid overbooking on house level.

   However this is not forwarded to the channel manager. Meaning that even when MEWS is not bookable anymore, online on the OTA's we still are.

   It would be great if this feature would be pushed (automatically) to the channel manager as well (when MEWS strategy diffusive is chosen).

10. Machine readable error message in a 403 Forbidden response

    Problem description:

    When we are getting a 403 Forbidden response, we only have the error message to go on about what the actual issue is. This can be an invalid rate plan or Mews being busy for a minute.

    As documented (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/guidelines/responses#response-codes), these error messages are translated in the client language, so these can be displayed to the end user.

    For example the 403 Forbidden response on /rates/updatePrice can be this:

    This message contains no machine readable information about the error. The message above is a French 'please try again later', but a 403 response can contain any random error message in any language.

    As the message above is a soft fail (try again later), and other error message might be a hard fail, these responses might be handler differently in the connecting application. In this case we want to do an automatic retry in a minute, but with a hard fail me might need to handle the error differently.

    There is no method in place to distinguish error message other than to parse the translated error string, which is undoable.

    Proposed solution:

    It would be nice if there could be some technical error message or error code added to the response, so we can use that instead of the end user error message. Something machine readable.

11. Expand the webhooks to support availability block updates

    Currently, an integration partner that uses group block data (such as Revenue Management Systems, Event Management Systems, Central Reservation Systems, etc.) needs to poll "availabilityBlocks/getAll" at a scheduled interval and are not able to sync availability blocks in real time.
    In order such integration partners to follow the best practices (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/guidelines/best-practices), they need the general webhooks expanded with new availability block-based events notifying the partners when:
    - an availability block has been created
    - an availability block has been updated
    - an availability block has been deleted
    - an availability block's service availability has changed

13. Being able to work with rateplan names instead of UUIds in RMS Duetto

    Usage of UUIDs in mappings is critically problematic when using Duetto RMS.
    The preference would be we could use shortname or recognizable ratecodes in mappings which could be used throughout enterprise strategies, transparent sub rate set up and which would allow us to fully use the optimization tool for setting up strategic revenue opportunities.

14. improve Zapier "New Reservation" event information

    The "New Reservation" event from Mews in Zapier doesn't send the price of the reservation. It only send information about extra product buyed by the customer but not the total price of the reservation. It also doesn't send the price of the room.

16. Gift Voucher integration

    It would be great to improve the choice of Gift Voucher integrations. Giftpro is great but the integration is very limited (you can't actually redeem vouchers on MEWS) -
    SmartGift is expensive.
    Could others be added - maybe GiftUp?

    For the analysis and planning, it is important to know which travel purpose the block can be arranged. Is it a leisure group or a business group? For this it would be important to arrange the block to a segment. This segment must be able to be transferred to e.g. Fairmas.

19. Provide full details when reservation price is previewed

    When we use the endpoint /api/connector/v1/reservations/price (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/operations/reservations#price-reservations) the output does not contains the full details but only the taxes.

    It would be nice to be able to retrieve the details of which rules/products have been applied and the amount associated, directly in the output.

    For example, if a hotel apply resort fees using the rule system, retrieving only taxes and total amont is not enough to display the full details of the calculation. Currently to display it we need to fetch all rules and manually check if rule should be applied or not. And do a "revert engineering" of the total price to retrieve the amount that have been applied.
