  1. It would be useful to be able to determine a "default Credit card" within the Payments Tab of the guests. Currently, it only offers Preauthorization, Card Payment, Disable, and Clear options.

    This would be most helpful when we need to differentiate between the card for incidentals that should default for the reservation after the VCC or Company card has already been charged for the items they are responsible for.

To avoid or at least limit the number of chargebacks, since at the moment the system is not checking the validity of the card used for the reservation, it would be convenient to have the possibility to automate the Payment Request and to be able to configure its sending according to the type of rate (for example, for the NR, sending as soon as we receive the reservation). It would be a more secure method for the payment of the reservation than the automatic payment through Mews, since the client himself carries out the transaction.

  3. We accept Visa and MasterCard but not Amex cards. However, if customers use their Amex card via App pay, Mews payment initially accepts and checks this and only later rejects it. In the meantime, the amount appears to have been debited from the guest, which regularly leads to difficulties

Swish is the leading payment method in Sweden used by 80% of the addressable population in both peer-peer payments but also widely used offline in B2C and as digital payment method (offered through partners such as Klarna or Adyen). Swedish hotels that have a large local customer base or for example sell a lot of gift cards would assume Swish is enabled also for Mews Payments.

  6. AirBnB is a growing platform for hotels. They work with bank transfers, in order to balance the bill, we have to post a manual 'reseller payment' at the moment. This is not very logical for most receptionists. It would be better to have a payment option called 'AirBnB payment'.

  7. It would be great for mews to allow properties to create more external payment methods that we can name what they are e.g. we take a number of different vouchers and we'd like to be able to create external payments that match the name of the voucher names. This would reduce errors with staff.

  8. BankAxept is the Norwegian local card payment scheme and is the most widely accepted card for point of sale payments.

    The majority of BankAxept cards are co-branded. From these co-branded cards, almost all cards are co-branded with Visa and some with Mastercard.

  10. the scheduled payment overview on the payment tab is great, but it would be fantastic if we could amend the timing of those scheduled payments.
    for example when you know that hotelbeds pays 30 days after departure, you can amend the payment scheduled for the day of arrival.

  11. Hey, it should be possible to pay with Amazon Pay during the guest journey. Lots of customers are using Amazon Pay and it would be beneficial to customers & hotels.

  13. Would be great to have a report (or the information added to Reservations Report) that ilustratrates all the information in reservation report plus payments made in that reservation and amount invoiced. would be nice to exist a invoice report with this information.

  14. Often guests don't tell us that they need a different address on the bill. After a while they tell us over the phone or by email and then it's an absolute pain that we can't overwrite the invoice header.

  16. We receive a lot of requests to send an UBL format invoice next to the PDF invoice we can already send.

    Preferred to have the option to add an UBL format invoice or to have it automatically added.

    A lot of companies demand these type of invoicing to make sure no errors are made in the payments or accounting department.

  18. At the moment the only payment method when checking in online is with a credit card. It would be very useful for us in the Netherlands if guests could check-in online with iDEAL and fulfill the payment in advance.

  19. Currently only the owner of a reservation receives the online check-out email and is the only one that can pay the balance of the reservation before being able to check out. When there are multiple guests that have bills that need to be settled, if they cannot pay their bills online themselves, the group in that room won't be able to check-out online. My suggestion is that all guests in a reservation be able to receive a check-out email and pay for their Bill.

  20. If to be charged on a virtual credit card (for example Expedia) this however should be possible of course, but not on a physical credit card of the guest.
