FEATURE REQUEST - ADD PAYMENT METHOD DURING GUEST PROFIL CREATION ON A RESERVATION

I would like to suggest adding an optional payment method field to the guest profile creation panel when creating a reservation.

The main benefit is ensuring payment automations work as intended. When a credit card is added to a guest’s profile after the reservation has been created, Mews always indicates that no credit card is linked to the reservation, preventing payment automations from running.

Given Mews’ strong focus on automation, the system should make it easy for properties to configure reservations correctly from the start.

Adding this option would:

Ensure payment automations work correctly by allowing the payment method to be added at the right stage.

Prevent oversights by reducing the risk of staff forgetting to add a credit card.

Save time by eliminating the need to open the guest profile separately.

Mews already supports adding payment methods through a similar module when processing online payments, so this improvement could build on existing functionality.
