The Mews Booking Engine currently displays "Free cancellation" while also showing a cancellation fee amount.

Although the cancellation policy and deadline are correct, the wording can be confusing. Guests see "Free cancellation" alongside a cancellation fee without a clear explanation that the fee only applies after the free cancellation deadline.

We're receiving quite a few questions from guests who find these two messages contradictory.

Suggested improvement:

Simply make the wording more explicit. For example:

"Free cancellation until 5 November 2026 at 14:45.

If you cancel after this deadline, a cancellation fee of DKK 1,327.04 applies."

The information is already available from the configured cancellation policy, so the wording could be generated automatically using the correct deadline, cancellation fee and guest language.

Alternatively, the existing information icon could explain when the cancellation fee applies, rather than only displaying the time zone.

We're not asking to change the cancellation policy itself — just to make the existing conditions easier for guests to understand.

This small improvement could prevent unnecessary confusion, reduce questions to hotel staff and make the booking experience more transparent.
