Allow free text notes in POS that are not visible on customer receipts
Currently, the MEWS POS system does not support adding internal free text notes to orders that are hidden from the customer's receipt. This functionality would be very useful for internal communication between staff (e.g., kitchen or bar instructions, special handling notes, etc.) without cluttering the customer's bill or creating confusion.
We suggest adding a field for internal notes that can be attached to an order or item but will not be printed on the guest receipt.
This would improve workflow efficiency and reduce the risk of miscommunication in service.
2 votesKitchen notes are now private by default—they’ll appear only on kitchen receipts, not on guest-facing bills or invoices.
