    We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!

    On this new screen we have separated bill items from past and future reservations. Now you can stick to seeing the relevant bills for your reservation in the selected stay period

    Don’t worry, we haven’t gotten rid of it completely! We have created an additional billing screen for each guest. You can access this screen by selecting “All guest’s bills” in the new billing screen. This will show you all open past, present and future bills for the guest you have selected, with convenient tags so you always know which bills are relevant for you.

    Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.

Recently a check in a create keys button was added to each booking which is great it checks in and creates the keys for the customers HOWEVER! it only works after 4pm, because our official check in is at 4pm. what we would like will be the function to work at any time! and instead a pop up will appear that will say it is not 4pm yet would you like to create the key? yes, no. and it will create them either way as long as it leaves a record that they were created before or after 4.

    This was due to a bug that has since been resolved. A key can be cut at any time after the reservation is checked in. As long as the check-in is completed, there is no problem cutting a key prior to the default reservation start time set by the property.

  5. There is only one value which can be assigned to a stay product. Some products can have variable values. A setting would be helpful to allow some products to have their value changed. This would allow for variable products to be billed/reported against reservations as opposed to as editable service product.

  6. THE SYSTEM SHOULD BE BASED ACCORDING TO THE COUNTRY THE HOTEL IS IN.

    WE ARE HERE IN CALIFORNIA USA AND WE HAVE MONTH DATE AND YEAR BUT THE SYSTEM IS UK BASED SO THEY HAVE IT IN THE OTHER WAY!!

    IT MAKES CONFUSING FOR THE GUEST.

  8. It would be very useful to have a report that helps us find guest profile by their classification (VIP, previous complaint, etc.).
    That permits to have an over view of all the guests who have a classification and put some special offer on for them

    You are able to view all profiles that are registered in Mews and have classifications attached from the reservations report. The filter in the report that will help you view this is called “Customer classification”, it sits under the “Group by” section, of the reservations report.

  9. I recommend adding a field to the customer profile or reservation about disabilities. For example, someone in a wheelchair that cannot use the top bunk. Personally, I would like to let the hotel know that I am deaf.

  10. Today, if you have an overbooking of 2 Classic rooms, but only 1 Deluxe room, the system will still send availability for 1 Deluxe room even though you are in overbooking of 1 room. It can be extremely dangerous.

    Day uses for bookable services bring increased flexibility.

    Now it’s possible to set up bookable services in Mews for day use, allowing guests to reserve and use spaces at your property for a limited time period during a single day.

    Day uses are a great way to expand the range of services you offer, attract new guest segments, and increase your revenue and occupancy rates. You can offer luxurious “daycations” to locals, cater to travelers looking for a few hours’ rest during layovers, or host professionals in need of temporary workspaces or meeting rooms.

  13. Would be much easier to assign floors to every housekeeper instead of spaces. They already work everyday by floor so would help them to keep the same organization that we have today. Also regarding the assignments would it be nice if they can see them on the Commander app. That will void printing reports everyday. The supervisor can assign a floor and the housekeeper can be able to see that on the app in order to know what need to be done during their shift.

  16. Once the guest is checked out, it would be great that the classification gets automatic returning icon. So at the next visit, we can clearly see that its not the customers first visit.

  19. We zouden het fijn vinden als er op de tijdlijn meer met fellere kleuren gewerkt zou worden. Aankomst, ingecheckt, uitgecheckt/ toekomstige boeking.. Dit maakt het onderscheid makkelijker.

    Thank you for your request, we are happy to inform you that it is no possible to group by groups in the reservation report in order to view all of the groups in your property. 


    For larger groups you can use the availability block report to view group information.
