If you already use a centralised messaging tool that already connects to Outlook, it's also possible for the tool to sync correspondence onto a guest's reservation Notes.

A direct hyperlink to guest’s reservations between MEWS and OTA’s
Creating hyperlink so that by simply clicking on travel agency confirmation number in MEWS we are guided directly to the reservation on the OTA’s website. Instead of copying the number and pasting it on Booking.com, Expedia, Hotelbeds… etc.

edit guest and internal messages
The new messages functionality is a huge improvement for guest communication. It would be very useful to have additional options like archive/delete, mark as unread and star messages from customers (or internally).

Status adjustment from Inquiry to optional
Currently we are unable to adjust the Inquired status to Optional status via the Connector API. So the connection with Thynk is not working, Optional groups in Thynk are not pushed through to Mews under Inquired status.....this causes imbalance between the systems

Specify CancellationReason in reservations/cancel
Users in Mews can choose from a pre-defined list of reasons when manually cancelling reservations in the reservations module in Mews PMS.
However, when a reservation is cancelled via API, the cancellation reason defaults to "Other".
It would be great to be able to also specify cancellation reason via the API (drawing from the pre-defined list available in Mews) so that integration partners can help keep the reservations reporting as accurate as possible.

Pre-Authorizations - correct wording
Hi Mews team,
We are using Mews Distributor for our Pay on Arrival dates with activated 1% Pre-authorization on credit/debit cards.
However, the Distributor states that customer will "pay" the 1%.
For example, if the whole booking costs £350.00, the customer will be pre-authorized for £3.50.
Mews Distributor currently states that the customer will "pay £3.50".This is incorrect, as full payment, not a remainder, will be taken on arrival.
Can we please have the wording changed from "pay" to "pre-authorized" or similar.

Include CompanyId in Availability Blocks API
When adding and fetching availability blocks data from Mews via the Connector API, it seems that the CompanyId parameter is missing from the Availability Blocks object, which can be a problem when trying to sync all data and/or when trying to filter or sort availability blocks by Company. Often times, the availability blocks are related to corporate contracts and therefore it is important that a third party system is able to link availability blocks in Mews to a company. Having this possibility also allows the property to fully utilise Mews as the centre of truth when it comes to customer/company…

Mobile keys are coming, fast.
Apple is allowing guest room keys to be stored within the Apple Wallet app as soon as next month. Additionally, data shows that consumers are growing weary of downloading apps such as a hotel app to get a key. The direction the consumer wishes to go is where they can receive a hotel room key via SMS, WhatsApp or Messenger and then store in their chosen wallet provider. What's Mews plan?

Mother company
When getting data from /api/connector/v1/companies/getAll, we don't get the Mother Company of the companies in the response. Would it be possible to add it in the (near) future?

Dynamic Packages - not integrated
Dynamic packaging (add-ons) is unfortunately currently not supported on the interface between SynXis and MEWS. This functionality is very important as the hotels should be able to see in MEWS that a dynamic package has been booked and to distinguish between the room price and package itself.
MEWS could you kindly reach out to Sabre to configure this within the integration as many hotels are asking for this feature currently?

Availability blocks should have information about the count/picked per roomtype per day
Parallel as to the "old" OTA_HotelInvBlockNotifRQ XML messages an availability/grouo block should have information:
- count: how many rooms are blocked for that group block for each day and each roomtype
- picked: how many rooms are already reserved for that group block for each day and each roomtype
- [and maybe also] daily rate: what is the rate for each roomtype per day (per number of persons)

Mews Connector classified as a heuristic virus
Avast anti-virus classifies Mews Connector as a heuristic virus. I have to take mewsconnector.exe out of quarantine weekly (after every update) and add it as an exception. Very annoying. Do something about that.

Specific guest profile information
Some regular guests have fixed specific request they always need: bath, low floor, diabetic, …
At this moment we can put this in the profile of the guest ‘intern information’.
Problem is when we’re making a new reservations we don’t see this information automatically.
We’re obliged to go to the profile of the guests and then to have a look in the submenu ‘intern information’.
Is there no other option to see this automatically in notifications, or somewhere else, so we don’t have to check for every new reservation if the guests has intern information?3 votesHello from the Mews product team.
