Partial look up in search bar
The search function is useful for quickly finding a reservation or customer profile, however with some compound names and or prefixes attached to names of certain nationalities, it makes this function harder to use since partial searching is currently not possible. Expanding this search function could improve this feature to allow searching for any and all parts of a customer's name, making results more accurate and data easier to navigate.

In case the channel manager transfer the booking number in following format BOOKING-123456, the partial look up in search bar is absolutely essential!

Same here! It is the first PMS system I have worked with, without a partial search function. Most common in my experience is the use of asterisk (*) sign to use as quick search function without spelling the entire name correct.

Please improve this search functionality to work better. It's giving as hard time and we end up creating too many profiles and not find easily the correct one.

Our hotels also struggle with the search bar, coming from a software where you can search even parts of names, first name or travel agent and a result is coming up. The function in MEWS is extremely limited and should give more flexibility in the search.
