Flexible rooms: from 4-pers easily to 2-pers room & other way around
We have two 4-persons private rooms. During the week, we have more request for 2-pers rooms. Is the following possible:
Making a room 1a and 1b. Room 1a is e.g. the 4-pers room, 1b is the 2-pers room. If room 1a is booked, that room 1b will automatically be closed and the other way around. So the price for room 1a is based on 4-persons and the price of room 1b is based on 2-persons. The possibility to close one of the rooms yourself in advance should still apply of course to manage your rates & availability as efficient as…

Actually, you can already do most of this. One way is to make the 4-person room (room 1), a parent of the 2-person room (room 1a). Then, when one of them is booked the other will not be available either.
You can also create a separate space category for room 1a, so you can manage its availability via restrictions separately from the other 2-person rooms. This way, you can even set a slightly higher price for it.
What we would not do is have 2 otherwise unrelated spaces and have availability of one depend on the availability of the other.

Extra bed to be added after rate calculated from base rate.
Our flexi rate is +20% of our base rate. So when guest adds an extra bed for 1000 they get charged 1200 for the extra bed with a fexible rate.
We dont want this we only want to charge 1000.
So we cant use this feature and have to use extra bed as a product which in itself leads to other issues.18 votes -

What does this mean?
Where you used to need 4 rules containing the same conditions for 4 different products, you now only require 1.

Change base rate after having created a rate
Once you have created a rate, you should be able to amend it and link it to a base rate. If you have already mapped it on your channel manager, you do not wish to delete it and restart, you just want to now link it to a base rate or change the base rate link

Multiple/Nested Conditions in Restrictions
To be able to create a combined/if restriction.
As an example: For a full refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel within 48 hours of the creation of the booking AND at least 14 full days prior to the start date of the booking.

Adjust a price for entire space categories SEASONALLY
Currently you can adjust a price for an entire space category for an unlimitied period of time. Could be great to have the possibility to have different prices adjustements according to certain period of time.

Add agent or company to check-out report
It would be great if you can see where the checked out reservations comes from. Maybe by selected in the column to the right. It makes it easier for us to send out the bills afterwards. Now you can selected customers notes and reservations notes.

Aplly different rates for each day as per revenue management rules
It is compulsory to be able to apply different rates and the same reservation for each day, otherwise it is not possible to have a correct report with the right ADR each day. I have thought that this would be possible on MEWS. I am a little suprise that this is not possible.

improve conditional rate settlement triggers (Physical vs Virtual cards)
At the moment, if you set up a rate automation for OTA rates, the same trigger will be used for both virtual and physical credit cards. Ideally, there would be extra conditional fields in an "if this, then that" format. For example:
If Card type = Physical, then charge on confirmation
If card type = virtual, then charge on start dayThis conditionality format would also allow for less rate groups, and increased flexibility if other conditions are also created. It could be implemented with an advanced settings button to keep the current layout as simple as possible.

Action log - downloading to .xls + export/schedules
I would like to be able to download the action log to excel. It will make it easier for me to control the work of the revenue manager who changes the prices. It would be good to be able to download this report automatically via exports ->schedules.

Is there an easy way for Mews support to rename a user and/or email address? We have a user who histrorically used the reservations@ email with almost all permissions as they were very senior. Restrict Front Desk Team from overriding rates
Restrict front desk team from overriding rates when making booking. Currently MEWS doesn't provide rate check report to see how much rate difference we are getting from staff making manual bookings. It is crucial for revenue managers to keep this under control in order to maintain the rates. Ideally I think front desk should not have the rights to override any rates.

overwriting our fixed rates incl. breakfast, results in rates excl. breakfast
When clicking on the rate (incl. breakfast) when making a reservation in commander, since the overwrite update of last week, results in a rate excl. breakfast. Also, if we change the rate here, breakfast is only added in the next screen. We only sell room rates incl. breakfast, so this is not really desirable. could the rate stay incl. breakfast, in our configuration?
