Tax Exempt Guests

Some guests have valid government documents which exempt them from paying any lodging taxes, etc. (VAT etc). There should be some checkbox that allows for the room rate to stay fixed but no taxes to be posted as liabilities.

There should be a separate report of such reservations per month as well.

    This functionality is to create a tax exempt on the bill after the items was charged. This functionality is used often in first nation hotel. They have access to tax exempt number that they can show to the Hotel. Those exemption is apply on very specific circonstance, per example the hotel is located in a first nation territory. This option is interesting reducing the number of products create to be able to support the tax exempt.

    I have a reservation for mr Smith
    This customer show is exemption number to the front desk upon check out
    I press on my exemption button and select products and rates and confirm
    The original transaction are reversed
    The need transaction are insert without taxe

    This is a necessary feature for US properties where tax exempt rates for government employees and contractors on business can be easily done without manually posting of adjustments by the front desk. These rates should be derived from a base rate so they can be revenue managed like other rates.

    This is a much needed feature that is missing from Mews.
