  2. We don't use the POS right now because as far as i'm aware the list of products needs to be maintained both in the POS and in MEWS. Having the POS pull a list of products from MEWS would be a key feature for us to consider using it.

  6. Add the possibility to choose a delivery slot on Digital Ordering, so that non-immediate deliveries can also be managed by Mews POS.
    Eg. A delivery for tomorrow evening, or for later the same day.

  7. Improving the connection between Mews POS and PMS to allow for F&B products such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner packages to be sent to POS. This will help improve efficiency so that the F&B team can create forecasts with information in one place.

  8. Can you make a view for the timeline that is not by hour but by day only.
    Currently when checking availability you have to scroll past the actual date.
    EX: The timeline will show a space in the middle of the 15th that will make you think that the 15th is vacant but when you scroll past the 15th into the 16th you actually realize that the 15 is not vacant.

  9. The ability to have a summarised overview of all the items that are saved on checks but not delivered to guests yet. F.e. if you have 10 open checks and 8 of them have a burger on them, they would need to know how many burgers in total are yet to be prepared.

  17. Caller ID for restaurants whereby returning customers numbers are saved and when they call the restaurant their details automatically appear. Previous orders, notes and information automatically appear.

  19. "imprimer une page par réservation" ==> Apercu des réservations:
    1er: pouvoir faire extraction sans passer par "rapport de réservation"
    2e: imprimer les informations de CHAQUE réservation depuis la page "Aperçu des réservations". Actuellement SEULE la fiche d'enregistrement est possible. (Nous sommes une thalasso et nous avons besoin des informations supplémentaires à porter de main)

  20. Some clients, especially those less tech-savvy, are reluctant to adopt mobile POS solutions (handhelds).

    One reason is they think it looks unprofessional or too "techy" from their guests' point of view.

    The other reason has to do with staff behavior at work.
    The Bull (hotel in the UK), asked to lock the device so that it can be used only for the POS app, at least by the cashiers. Managers would have a passcode to go outside the app and do other things, but frontline staff needs to access only the POS app.

    Android supports this via https://developer.android.com/work/dpc/dedicated-devices/lock-task-mode
