Hotek Keycutter multiple keys in one command
Mews now send and API call to Hotek Key cutter for only one key at a time, if you want to create multiple keys at a time it send it separately and not in one command. We check with Hotek and they confirmed to us that Mews send multiple keys creating in different commands and not in one command. This cause a lot of irritation with people at the reception, because it's not clear when the first key is created and when they need to put the second key on the card reader. Allowing duplicate keys is not and option…

Extend the timefilter to have a UPDATED timefilter, so that you can retrieve all accounting items that have been created/modified within a certain timeframe.
This way you can easily fetch for example "give me all items that were changed since yesterday".
Advantage: If you would like to know if there were new accounting items modified/created since the last time you checked, you do not need to get all items for the entire future. That would save a lot of bandwidth and processing (on both server/client side)9 votes -
guest preferences/prefered space features
We should be able to retrieve and use the guest preferred space features with the customer profile using the API. This would allow the guest to update these information from external integrations and this data could be used to offer customized services according to these preferences, like available spaces to offer in case the guest want to change its assigned space

Export target -> Printer
A great feature would be the ability to set a Printer (set up through mews connector) as an export target.
For example, to automatically print the breakfast list each morning at 06:00 on the printer in the breakfast room.
The format of the report would have to be the same as if you print it manually through the product report.

Connector API: pull stay product packages (product rules)
Be able to pull information about product rules that are set up in the system.
This will give an overview of the products that are getting attached to the certain rate, segment, rate group, space category or space type in Mews
9 votesPackages in Mews are created by applying product rules to rates. These rules define which and how many products are added/removed from a given reservation. You can now retrieve all product rules configured at a property using the Get all rules endpoint.

Expand the webhooks to support availability block updates
Currently, an integration partner that uses group block data (such as Revenue Management Systems, Event Management Systems, Central Reservation Systems, etc.) needs to poll "availabilityBlocks/getAll" at a scheduled interval and are not able to sync availability blocks in real time.
In order such integration partners to follow the best practices (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/guidelines/best-practices), they need the general webhooks expanded with new availability block-based events notifying the partners when:
- an availability block has been created
- an availability block has been updated
- an availability block has been deleted

Return Employee GUID in response
For actions taken in Mews that appear on the Action Log, allow the employee GUID of who made the change (such as rates) to be shown in the response.

Create/Edit Vouchers and Voucher Codes via API
Adding functionatlity to create/edit vouchers and their codes would be useful for a number of use cases.
Firstly in my opinion the Mews process for creating this is a little clunky, especially if you want to track the usage of each VC as it needs to be it's own Voucher, there's no way to track the codes within that voucher.
Therefore lets say you have a staff friends & family rate, and you want the voucher code to be the employee name so you can track usage and abuse of the incentive.

Connector API: Close bills
Within Mews, staff are able to close bills. This is currently not possible via the Connector API for integrators.
With this extensions to our Connector API, it will be possible for integrators to support this functionality.

add accounts/getAll endpoint with possibility to filter by AccountId
The new reservations/getAll endpoint & the new bills/getAll endpoint both use a new AccountId(s) field. This field can contain a customer or a company.
In the case of the reservation AccountIds field, we would possibly need to do two requests per AccountId to fetch the required information.
It would be a lot easier if there was an accounts/getAll endpoint where we could fetch the information with just a single request.

reservation number for block reservation
Currently, block reservations are not transferred to other systems. Systems such as Fairmas or RMS cannot see the blocks until a list of names is entered and the actual reservation number for each single reservation is generated by MEWS. This distorts P/U and open pricing. The problem could be solved by also giving a block a reservation number.

Make reservation(s) optional
There's currently no way to change a reservation's status to "Optional" using the API. There are individual endpoints for confirming and canceling a reservation, but no endpoint for making one optional. A specific endpoint, or an extension to the
[PlatformAddress]/api/connector/v1/reservations/updatethat allows for modifying the reservation state would be great!Why? We allow our users to create "Enquired" reservations but they now have no way to make those reservations "Optional" (from our system)

Both services/getAvailability and rates/getPricing support one single ServiceId parameter.

Allow for Preauthorizing a tokenized credit card within Mews via the Connector API
While an actual charge can be done, there is not a way to preauthorize a credit card tokenized within Mews via the Connector API. This would allow for integrations in the US to automatically topup the preauthorization's within Mews.

Original Currency in Accounting Items
When downloading Accounting Items through the API, it would be very useful to see the original currency and original amounts as well. We have some internal processes, where we need to see the original transaction details.

Release date in reservations/update
Add the possibility to update the release date when reservation is updated.
Currently, if a reservation's arrival date is changed and its release date is after the new arrival date, the update is not possible via connector API and the user has to make the modification in the UI6 votesThe releaseUTC field is already available in the API, however our documentation was not updated to reflect this.
