  1. It will be very helpful if there is an additional function in MEWS that allows us to tag guest profile according to its status such as VIP Status. Flexible status will be good rather than a fixed status like the ones under Clasification. We have many different types of VIP Status so this function will be helpful.

We have groups that stay that there is no one owner (as it has been booked by someone else) however we need each individual to register, the system does not send the email automatically as there is no main contact, having a tick option to send to individuals on the profile as preregistration/billing.

  3. We need a holding space at the bottom or top of the Reservation Calendar view that we can use when moving bookings around (tetris). EG people want to be in the same room and we have to move another booking for this to happen it is impossible to move them without going in and out of the booking profiles and then they end up in the wrong category . if we have the holding space you can move them around with out making any changes other than room/bed number.

  5. being able to set up parameters for the deletion of guest data. Some countries have restrictions for how long we are allowed to store this data. I.E 2 yrs after the last check in, or something similar.

  6. Merging profile with email is fine.
    But we could improve it by merging it on basis of the passport/ID number. This way, a booking.com guest would be merged and seen as a returning guest.

  8. When writing a rooming list for a group sometimes due some unknown reson one name in the group is seen on timeline in every single room. That cannot be changed back to be the group name we originally had. Plase give us a way to have a group name for a group, to enter client names to the rooms without messing up the group name. Please give us way to see the number of rooms in a group and how many in different room types. Please give us a way to correct items in a group, like change the date…

  11. Please use ISO country codes. There are countries with code GB, and reports, bills, customer profile following comes out: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
    It occupies 3 lines on an invoice; each report pulled in excel has a wide gap to type the whole country name.
    Please change system as I think most people working in hotels, hostels, campings, and so on, are very well aware of country codes such as: CH, IT, DE, GB, US, CI, ....

    Thank you for the feedback.

    It is currently possible to customise email templates per space category, by adding information in the free text field “Order email template” within your space category settings. The text will be added automatically at the bottom of the confirmation email when a guest books a reservation for that space category.

    We do not currently have this feature for registration cards. We’ve updated your idea as one to be upvoted by the Mews Community.

  13. Would it be possible with the messaging function to have all the messages automatically attached to clients profile?

    Example: A receptionist is chatting with an arriving customer, but finishes his shift before this client arrives, another receptionist may not know/ check the read messages. It would be easier for the staff to have all guest messages attached to their profile.

  14. With Covid restrictions we know all our arriving guests are New Zealand nationals, we would like an option to add a region so we can see better where our guests are travelling from, this would help us to run targeted ad campaigns and up our guest numbers

  15. When entering companions, new and existing customers should be able to be entered in the same field. The first field should search for existing profile and offer the option "News costumer" (as it works well in the main search field).

  18. When selecting "Permit of residence" the system should allow to use different nationalities for the guest, ex. one Argentinian living in Spain.

  19. This is to have the team adjust the Mews scanner to default to Ms instead of Mrs when scanning passports of female guests (as most guests are Ms, to save time doing data entry)
