Introduce a configuration whether to request Credit card details during online check-in
Guest are currently required to insert payment card during online check-in. This sometimes causes problems with double-charges in case the guest's reservation is prepaid by agency and staff latter on accidentally charges the guest card for stay. It also raises questions and mistrust of guests for online check-in and prevents them from finishing it.
Another case:
If "mandatory credit card" rules could be based on ratecode or rate category.
When we have a guest that is staying complimentary/using a gift voucher or company is paying, that guest is currently still required to enter their creditcard details as part of the…127 votes -
Disable Messaging
Please make the Messages/chatfunction optional or opt-out.

Verification (3DS) email
The email our guests receive state “ "We can't process your payment for Merlet until it has been verified. Unfortunately, if it's not verified in 24 hours, your order could be canceled" we think is is not very welcoming, especially in these challenging times. Is is possible to personalize or change this message?.

Show real/more reservation details in Navigator.
The information showed in navigator is not enough. Especially for guests with multiple reservations/cancellations. I am missing at least: Confirmation number, rate type, room type, price, extra products.

cancelation of booker
I would like a new model templates. I need the cancellation of booker.
When the booker cancel the room for their boss, collegue or trainee it's impossible to send us the confirmation of cancellation.

Send confirmation without rates
Option to send a confirmation without rates. We have a lot of companies that book rooms for their guests. They, understandably, don't want their guest to know the price that was paid for the room. Now we have to make manual confirmation for these companies to forward to their guest.

Omnichannel communication in Mews
Guest can use the channel of his choice to start communication with the property. (Email, Mews chat, OTA chat, WhatsApp, Messenger). The property receives and replies to all messages in one place - in Mews. The room for error is minimized as all conversation happens at 1 place. Answering is also faster.

Adding an email-placeholder for room number
Currently, with a self check-in through Operator, the only time the guest is informed about his/her room number is at the final step of the check in.
We would like to set up an "After check-in" which the guest can look at if he/she doens´t remember the room number and no reception is there. In order to do so, we would need a placeholder for the room number! Would be great, thanks!7 votesHello from the Mews product team.

Default email language
Right now as we know Booking.com guests are assigned unique Alias emails for communication/profiles. If a guest receives a confirmation email (despite the property being in German for example) the email is automatically sent in English as Mews will by default sent it in English to any profile that does not have a language associated to it.
This is despite the property being in a German environment.

Display rates per night on confirmation
From a revenue perspective rates per night should be mentioned on the confirmation email not just the total amount of the stay (if guests shorten their stay)

marketing opt-in at the online check-out
Proeprties are willing to have the Marketing subscription opt-in to be offered to the guests at the moment of the online check-out for the guests who did not subscribe to receive the marketing notifications at the check-in. Guest might change their mind during the stay

Allocate the reservation to another room automatically if the room is not inspected
When I enter my last name and confirmation number and the room to which I am assigned is not ready, I get the error message that I should come back later. Better solution would be if the tablet can automatically reassign the guest into different room of the same space category, which is ready to be used.

Show price of the stay in Guest portal
As a customer I would like to see the price of the stay in the details of the reservation, instead of having to go back to the email to look for it.

before we can enable showing the price in Navigator guest portal we need to automatically route the charges to the correct bill: https://feedback.mews.com/forums/918232/suggestions/36659050. That’s mainly because for some kind of reservations guests shouldn’t see the final price (OTA collects payment, the company pays for guest). Once the prerequisite is done, we can have a look to this one. :-)Have a great day,
