  2. When a reservation is done with 1 Adult + 1Child than the average price of the breakfast for both products will be displayed.Breakfast adults: 20€, Breakfast child 10€ then it displays 15€. This can be very confusing for guests + staff. It is better to display the price per each product and do not show the average price

  3. Booking gaps should be automatically overridden by the MLOS. For example, if the MLOS is 5 but there is a gap of 3 or 1 night, it should be automatically bookable. This is especially important for smaller properties with individual room categories.

  4. We manage several holiday rental units and the different space categories have different addresses in two different cities.
    Currently the property address is placed in the general settings tab. The address placed in the general settings tab is the one that appears in the booking confirmation message for reservations at Mews booking engine in at tahe " How to get there" field.
    We've tried to leave the ‘City’ field in the general settings tab blank, but it's not possible because it's a mandatory field.

  5. Can you add the week numbers to the timeline as many guests ask about availability of a certain week number before booking a date. This would improve the speed of me answering their questions and a better overview.

  6. When guests are filling out mandatory fields in the booking engine, such as their phone number, they can fill out a number that does not exist and the booking engine will accept this as a phone number (e.g. just the number "0").

    It would be helpful if the booking engine would recognize phone numbers as a valid phone number, so we have all contact details we may need from the guest after they make the booking.

  7. It would be good that "Nationality" field is mandatory when booking online on MEWS Booking Engine. This makes it easier to organise statistics report at the end of the month

  8. At our property we have limited parking spots available to our guest. At this moment the option to book a parking spot is hidden in the list of products in the engine when parking is fully booked. However, it would be great if the bookings engine could show it as sold out/fully booked. This would help us receiving fewer questions and not having to disappoint guest when we let them know they cannot park after they made their room reservation.

  9. When a family is booking online, the booking engine doesn’t currently cater for validate the age of guests within a room. This creates invalid reservations with children and/or babies staying alone in a room. This requires a solution I believe.

  10. Be able to split payments of a reservation by amount. in the bill.

    For example:

    A room cost 1500 SEK. one guest want to pay 500 SEK and one guest want to pay 1000 SEK

    Atm, this option is not available.

  11. We need more customization options in the mail templates. To create a new template and choose when it is sent would be greatly beneficial. We also need more options to customize the existing templates, we should be able to use all existing placeholders in all emails, so for example we could include just arrival date or number of guests, without departure date and rate.

  12. When campaign code is restricted, booking engine should show this to the guest "the campaign code is not available this date, please try another date"

    At the moment Booking Engine is showing only available rates and not giving any information about the restricted campaign code.

  13. Have the possibility send a seperate, secured link just to update the credit card details (not through online check in, but prior to booking) when guests want to book through e-mail, so guests can update their cc details without having to call or send the details through email.

  14. For us, there is no reason for still show any categories without availability. It's only a distraction to the potential guest. Please add a function which allows to hide the non available categories.

  15. I limit the ability to book more than 360 in advance as we have MANY guests that book year after year. We found that people that wanted stay here were trying to book rooms out from under current guests so we limited the availability online to stop this from happening. By making this restriction we have made it so reservations can not book our current guests either. In addition we do not do same day booking on the internet. To customize the guest journey for distribution partners, we would LOVE to see the ability to customize background images for individual booking engines for accommodations as well as for availability blocks. Not only will examples of this experience help get distribution partnerships over the finish line, but it will also create a custom and personalized experience for the relevant guests. Furthemore, it creates numerous opportunities for cobranding.

  18. Guests would need to try and book slots hoping there is availability. In high demand services this would mean several tries to book a time slot until sucessful. Better option would be to allow properties to display their availability for hourly services too for a better UX

  19. When a breakfast product (regardless of price) is attached to a reservation it should not be promoted again to the customer.

    Current Mews logic: “a product will not be promoted to a guest if it is attached to the booking” - suggested change “products within the same product category will not be promoted to a guest if any product within that category is attached to the booking”.

  20. Currently - settlement + cancellation policies are not visible to the guest in the booking engine. So for each rate code - we have to manually insert text to describe this in multiple languages.
    Most other Booking Engines display these rules by default during the booking-process online. Mews should be able to auto-generate this text - in multiple languages.

    The proposed solution would remove potential mismatch/errors between text & rules , save time for the user, and create a more sellable text to display rather than focusing a lot of the text to rules regarding the reservation.
