  1. A useful feature would be to incorporate a simple AI tool that proposes alternative available rooms to guests, allowing them to switch if their preferred room isn’t available for the entire stay.

  2. Current Rate Comparison Box in the Booking Engine does not pull data from the OTA's URL leaving room for human error especially when accounting for complex promotions and rate parity from the OTA's website.

    If one is to use it properly, they must post a percentage adjustment in the "Competitor price relative adjustment" field to display the difference in prices.

    Using the OTA URL, this should be able to complete the info in the box therefore push for more direct bookings.

  3. We'd like to adopt the 'soft opt-in' marketing model whereby bookers are automatically subscribed to our marketing database unless they specifically opt-out at the point of booking. This would require the current wording to be changed (ideally editable by us), and the checkbox to be ticked as default (or change to tick to opt-out).

On the Mews Booking Engine, when guests choose the “Pay at Hotel” option, they are required to enter their credit card details for a pre-authorization (usually for the first night) as a guarantee. However, the interface still displays a “Proceed to Payment” button or message, which creates confusion and mistrust.

    Many guests believe they are being charged immediately, and some abandon their booking altogether. This not only leads to a poor user experience but also reduces conversion rates.

    We would like the ability to customize or replace the current message with something more accurate and transparent, such as:

  5. In the configuration of the booking engine, you are able to select the maximum amount of adults per booking - but not the maximum amount of children.

    This feature would be nice to have.

  6. We would like to customize the occupancy in the booking engine, so that we have the posibility to manage the amount of available houses for sale.

    For example, when there is one house left in each house type, it should not be possible to sell in the Booking engine to avoid overbooking, so it is only possible to book by contacting us directly.

  8. There is currently no double authentication on the Mews booking engine. If a customer makes a mistake with their email address when booking, they will not receive any of the scheduled messages.

    This can cause confusion and doubts as to whether a booking has actually been made.

    This is a very common feature.

    I suggest integrating double authentication (twice the email address) at the end of the booking process on the booking engine.

  9. Via The booker flow, it would be useful to offer a button that can help the guests determine who is truly financially responsible for the booking Booker Vs Staying Guest. In this manner, this can also help redirect the cost of the reservation more efficiently to the one truly responsible versus the fact that it always defaults to the booker account.

    This flexibility can reduce some of the manual work on the team when they must correct the billing and find the real responsible party.

  10. We need more customization options in the mail templates. To create a new template and choose when it is sent would be greatly beneficial. We also need more options to customize the existing templates, we should be able to use all existing placeholders in all emails, so for example we could include just arrival date or number of guests, without departure date and rate.

  11. When people are entering from e.g. Google Hotel Ads the landing page is always the distributor link (technically it is not possible to link the ads to the widget integrated booking engine)

    Problem then is that users can not go to the homepage of the hotel directly.

    It is a learned & normal website usability that logos are clickable and lead to the homepage if a website.

    For me it is a must have.

  12. When the space categories are displayed in the second step of the booking engine, it can be confusing for the guest/booker to see conflicting booking term labels. If there are different rates available, e.g. one with free cancellation and another one that is non-refundable, both of these labels (free cancellation and non-refundable) are shown before the Show rates button is clicked.

    This might create the idea that both are applicable for all the rates displayed at the next step, even if the rates are correctly labeled.

  13. Spaces are shown in the BE based on the rate group and cancellation policy. For a hostel with dorms, rooms and beds, this make the dorms and rooms to be displayed firt (more expensive) rather than the beds (less expensive) and potential customers are easily discouraged when they only look at the first elements shown. It would be helpful to choose wich space type show first regardless of the pricing configuration.

  14. Create a multiproperty booking engine where guests can find availability and prices for multiple properties in the same city / region / country by querying on stay dates. Currently a specific property needs to be selected, resulting in a tedious process (with 7 properties in 1 city for example) resulting in low conversion and churn.

  15. For a bookable service for space like parking or bike, or similar a guest /adult count doesn’t make sense. It should be possible to disable the adult count field in the booking engine for that bookable service somehow.

  16. Upon a completed booking, it would be helpful if MEWS creates a datalayer with the personal data from the booking (name, email, phone number, and country) that can subsequently be sent to Google and Meta as part of 'Enhanced Conversion' to better optimize advertising.

    1. We would like to make it possible to add a baby and a child (up to 12 yo) on some rooms, but in MEWS I can only put extra capacity for either 1 or 2 people. When I put down 2 people it gives guests the option to put two children up to 12yo in the room. Is it also possible to distinguish age groups in this capacity? So that guest can only add 1 child and 1 baby, and not two children?

  17. We want to restrain the possibility of the selection language in the Mews booking engine. For example, we only want that the client can utilize the English and Español version.
    Can you develop a function (check box in a list for example) which permit that ?

  18. We would like to submit a few modifications regarding the Mews Booking Engine, which is used by a variety of hotels with different concepts.

    Choice of pictogram: We would like each user to have the option to select a pictogram based on the type of accommodation they manage, for example, a "house" pictogram instead of "bunk bed."

    Clarification on pricing: Below the price, it currently states "per room/per night." We request that this be changed to "per accommodation," and this should also apply in all languages version. Or give the possibility to choose if we want it per room or…

  19. At our property we have limited parking spots available to our guest. At this moment the option to book a parking spot is hidden in the list of products in the engine when parking is fully booked. However, it would be great if the bookings engine could show it as sold out/fully booked. This would help us receiving fewer questions and not having to disappoint guest when we let them know they cannot park after they made their room reservation.
