Voucher - disable new updated voucher functionality
With the latest functionality updates we do no longer have the company/travel agent vouchers available from the voucher option in Mews when making a new booking.
Company/Travel agent bookings should now be made without specific voucher and only using the relevant company/travel agent profile.
IDEA;
1: Let the hotels be able to enable/disable this functionality! Since this functionality might not be a positive change for all properties.
or:
2: Provide a drop down so when making a booking you can choose EITHER public/company or Travel agent
REASON:
A: It is crucial for us to be able to search on ALL the voucher names in order for example to find internal rates or company agreement to see if they have vouchers applicable for 2023?
B: It is crucial for us, that vouchers are attached to ALL reservations.
Both of which in one swift "improvement" is gone.
A company can have several vouchers attached. For example 1 for their standard corporate agreement. 1 for a congress etc.
And our chain corporate clients book referring simply to a code.
We need to search for that code, since a sub-department company profile might not be created in Mews.
-We need to be able to see a list of the vouchers relevant to a congress versus a company.
-we need statistics for vouchers - which will now be useless data when bookings made for a company/travel agent no longer requires vouchers.
2 years of data thereby useless moving forward
Example:
Local university has 10 congresses a year.
each have a voucher to provide the participants with discount.
By end of year we need statistics on how the University has performed and how each voucher has performed.
When the participants at the congress make a booking they know to quote a code to get the discount. They will be from another company/university.
When the staff make the booking with the new change, they now first has to search in settings through all vouchers to find the code the customer is mentioning.
they then see "ah that is the company profile".
then go to new reservation screen -> select that company -> scroll through the list of rates attached to that company profile -> quote a price to the customer. then the customer makes the booking, but need their company name on the receipt. The staff removes the university profile associated with the discounted rate and adds the guest company to the reservation.
Result; long tricky booking process and absolutely no statistics on the neither our local university nor that specific congress.
