Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. It would be nice if Mews would finally make it possible to delete products from a group booking in total, rather than having to go into each reservation individually. Thank you!

  2. There are other suggestions about restricting products, but would also be good to restrict products by Room category, and rates/ packages/ dates

    For example -
    1 offer a cot to rooms that can only accommodate cots and not to all rooms

    2 offer pet products to rooms that can accommodate a cot and not to all rooms

    3 only offer a product on specific dates, rather than all, or seasonally within a certain date range - Strawberries in Summer

    4 by package type, if a rate includes a product you wont necessarily want to add again

  3. Ability to select products for specific days whilst creating the reservation. At the moment, you need to create a booking and then amend by canceling products for the days not needed.

  5. In germany we have to split breakfast in two parts: breakfast food with 7% VAT and breakfast drinks with 19% VAT. This is complicated for the guest to understand as we need two breakfast products and also for the breakfast team in the product report. Does anyone have a solution for that or is there a possibility to merge the two breakfast products in one? We know that other PMS make this happen.

  6. We desperately need a better overview of how many rooms are in use in each category.

    Almost like the timeline but adjusted. Preferably something along the lines of: the hotel has 20 standard rooms, 12 are being used today.

  8. So, we make a daily export of the remaining guest arrivals as a back-up or for other departments. As of now, it's only possible to create an export of the entire day's arrivals. It would be great to have a function that allows you to create an export of the guests yet to arrive, i.e. from now til end of day.

  9. There are common questions guests ask, it would save a lot of time if we can create our own templates for replies to the guest messages (like in booking.com) and just select the one we want to reply to the guest message.

  10. Y’a-t-il un rapport dans Mews qui nous permet de connaître sur une journée combien de check in et check out sont fait via les tablettes VS le nombre de check in et check out totale?

  11. When a guest makes a reservation the same date of arrival before 9am, Mews sends the template for check in online but then at 9am also the reminder email is sent. This means that the guest have two identical emails in the same day. So we would like that, for bookings made in the same date of arrival, the reminder is deactivated.

  12. Would it be possible to Also consider creating a capability within the existing Import File to identify "companions" within a reservation and upload such data into Mews? (Besides the Rooming List template).

  14. With the Synxis > Mews integration we have the option to enable "Create company and travel agency profiles". Is it possible to also include a second step which creates a routing rule for the agency?

  15. There is a recurring need for hotels to track multiple reservations assigned to a unit. Oftentimes 2+ individuals, arriving at separate times, will each need a reservation for the same unit/dates. Sometime that nightly rate will also need to be split between these reservations.

  17. The printable registration form is not user friendly. Guest wich use my own designed registration form are much faster. im sure its easy to make it more user friendly.

  18. We would like to send the guest an offer with different room categories and it should be possible for them to confirm only 1 room and reject all others.

  19. In the statistics view in the reservation overview, a total sum would be wonderful. So you have to calculate it manually

  20. We don't have 24 hour reception so it would be helpful if, when reception closes, we can put a restriction / stopsell on the remaining rooms so no one can book them after hours

    We are currently adding a Restriction with the start date and end date being the same to get around this issue
    Blocking multiple rooms is also time consuming and alters management reports

    As great as Mews is, I've used 6 other PMS and this is the first one to not have a feature similar to this
