  1. Some countries are not able to properly price and account VAT for long stays, especially when the long stay is changed from the original reservation above or below the certain amount of days. At billing, Mews should properly calculate the discount based on the length of stay (e.g. discount is for every day of a stay longer than 28 days; no discount for a stay of less than 29 days), adjusting the overall price to be paid by the guest, based on any discount.

  3. Currently, once created, bookable services can never be deleted. If you create some by accident you then have to live with them as they take up valuable up display real-estate (and increase the time it takes to figure out what to click on).

    Please introduce the option to delete those (either from the property or from the support level).

    Hello, we are happy to inform you we have enabled service deletion in Mews.

    Bookable services can be now deleted if there is no space category or space feature or reservation linked to them.

  4. Please remove the option to charge the customer card against all items under Unassigned.
    This is causing operational problems, because is much easier to charge fully for current and future stays all together by mistake or while in a rush. The only way to prevent wrong charging is to manually move the charges to a New Bill.
    This is a technical disadvantage.

    Old billings screen was able to prevent this as products for future reservations were kept on the left hand side. There was no option to collect payment against them.

  5. I don't mind the new billing screen, once you get used to it, it is quite easy to use.
    One thing I would suggest is that in the new billing screen, we move a lot of items to Paymasters and we now can't see which item belongs to which guest

    It used to show as:
    Stay 1129 (Jane Smith, 1/12/2020-2/12/2020, Standard Room, 16) - $150

    Now shows as:
    Past, 1/12/2020-2/12/2020 - 1129 x1 - $150

    You are currently able to see the name of a the original guest who owned a bill before it was moved to a paymaster account.

  6. Hello, I'd like to share an idea regarding the Housekeeping.The hotel bought mobile phones for every chambermaid and the manager in order to work with the Mews app and the features it offers. However, we have noticed, that if our chambermaids do the cleaning (they change the status from DIR-->CLN) and the manager inspects it and is satisfied ( change from CLN -->INS ) marks it as inspected and it stays like that until further change.

    The issue emerges when we're talking about a room, where does the guests stay, 'cause the app says "inspected" even the other day, when…

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released a setting called "Check-in makes space dirty". With this option selected an inspected room will be marked as dirty as soon as a guest checks in. If a guest is staying overnight the space will automatically be marked as dirty at midnight.

  7. This property was asking for a way to add a discount percentage to an invoice before they close the bill in a way they will not have to calculate it themselves manually. Right now the only way to do that is to create a product but they will still need to calculate the total price after the discount.

    We have reviewed the request to print multiple registration cards in one go for the day, this is currently possible from reservation overview report.

    You can perform this action by selecting a date you would like to print the registration cards for (it can be the current date or a date in the future), click the button “Registration cards” on the top right. This will open a new tab with all of the registration cards for the date you have selected, from here you will be able to print out the registration cards.

    Thank you for the feedback.

    We are very happy to inform you that it is possible to print empty registration cards.

    The feature can be set up from your registration card configuration settings. Under the “Options” menu, select “Print based on person count”. When this setting is enabled, you will be able to print an additional blank registration card for all reservations where companion details have not yet been completed.

  19. I would like to have the choice to have the relative adjustment made on the full price, OR only on the nights.
    I don't want to give 10% off on the City Tax or on the breakfast, only on the nights.

  20. Once the guest is checked out, it would be great that the classification gets automatic returning icon. So at the next visit, we can clearly see that its not the customers first visit.
