Cannot separate segments for Hotel Collect and Expedia Collect rate plans when using the Direct Integration.
At this time, there isn’t a viable workaround to separate segments for Hotel Collect and Expedia Collect rate plans when using the Direct Integration.
Only option is to go back to connection via CRS.

Channel Manager SiteMinder - include all guest names in Mews
Some partners are sending all guests names and unfortunately with the SiteMinder integration in Mews we receive only one guest name.

Webhook or websocket notification for customer's address change and customer's identity document change
Currently there is no notification about changes to identity documents or changes to addresses of the customers. If you want to make sure that you have up-to-date information about customer's address and identity documents you have to query all customer's addresses and identity documents periodically.
Please create a webhook (or websocket) notification for these changes. As an alternative solution, you could trigger the 'CustomerUpdated' webhook when the address and/or identity document of the customer is updated.

More specialised Webhooks (e.g., only when reservation Status changes from Confirmed to Strarted)
We would like to propose more specialised Webhooks.
Not every change to the reservation, for example, is needed for every use case. Instead, only changes to specific fields are interesting for (for example the status).

Extend booking window of OpenGDS more than 365 days
Mews currently limits the interval length for the connection to the channel manager OpenGDS to 365 days. It would make sense to extend the interval length to 430 days, for example.

Space Upgrade: Auto-allocate Space when UPG Bid is made
When it comes to upgrades and space allocation, the internal flow is different for connector API than it is for channel mgr API, so Mews will not re-assign a new space based on the requested space category change, and the user will need to manually assign the spaces on the Mews side
It would be nice to consider adding that possibility so Mews can also send proper availability updates to the integrations as a result. Waiting on a user to act could potentially create unnecessary OVBs during high occupancy.

Child Pricing on Products
Mews should accurately allocate the price across different age categories. For instance, if a reservation includes products with child pricing, Mews should distribute the total cost based on child pricing and not just equally. For example, if the total price is 67.5 and the reservation has 2 adults and 1 child, the distribution should be 27 (adult price) multiplied by 2 (adults) and 13.5 (child price) multiplied by 1 (child).

Age categories in MEWS
Issue: MEWS supports up to 5 age categories, but only 2 can sync with Siteminder. When using 3+ categories, reservations with children/teens require manual review in MEWS, as it only processes 2 categories correctly. Siteminder sends the data correctly, but MEWS does not fully support it.
Request: Enable MEWS to support more than 2 age categories when integrating with Channel Managers.

Programatically manage Mews Email Templates via Connector API
To be able to read and write Mews Email Templates in Guest Experiences via the Mews Connector REST API, allowing us to integrate with other email template building platforms or create custom integrations.
We have design systems and components authored in other platforms. When we update these design systems we would like to automate the update of our email templates across all of our properties.
To be able to commit html templates to version control systems e.g. git and CI/CD pipelines.

It is very difficult to read through all the ideas in this Forum or to search for one. So my idea is to send all Mews users an email if someone publishes an idea on here. Maybe you can turn this on or off in your preferences?

Connector API: Attach files to identity documents
The Identity Documents APIs would become much more useful to us if we could attach file(s) to them as well. For example, photos/scanned copies of the original document.
Separate permissions for adding vs viewing any attached files would also help safeguard them by restricting who is able to download them after being attached. This is because they wouldn't often need to be viewed again once uploaded, but do need to be available for some period of time (not indefinitely).

Export users from the API or report
Given that I'm a hotel group, as the person responsible for application security, I'd like to be able to export the list of my users for each property with their associated roles and permissions via the API and a report,

If changes are made to the basic settings in Mews, such as modifications to the cancellation policies or payment terms, there should be an option to decide whether the change should also apply to all existing reservations or only to future ones.

ChatGPT, Claude.ai or other LLM integrations
LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude.ai and others are used on a daily basis and help to simplify numerous everyday problems. It would therefore be important for Mews to build an integration for such models. For example, data such as ADR, sales, payment types, but also reservation data and availability should be able to be queried via an LLM and vice versa. Integration with common LLMs is now long overdue.
